Strange lumps in back of throat - Health anxiety at an all time high!

Hi all!

thanks in advance for any replies!

so earlier today I noticed in the back of my throat that there were numerous big pink lumps, I have intense health anxiety so this has resulted in a day full of googling and panicking about cancer etc 😦

I was hoping someone here may have experienced these before and could reassure me and in turn calm my silly anxiety down.

    guys! i have had this for more than 2 weeks. i am also on lansoprazole 30mg due to silwnt acid reflux. i have been given 500mg amoxillin but thing is i dont have a sore throat or a fever. i just feel the warm burning sensation in my throat. Does anyone else have this issue???

    I am so glad to have found this thread. Also suffering from the same thing. Scoured google for some answers and keep coming up with cancer. Accidentally saw this while I was brushing my teeth. I have no sore throat. No swollen lymph nodes. No other pain etc. except for constant allergic rhinitis. Thought it was mucus at first and gargled salt water and tried steam inhalation to dislodge it with no luck. Now my anxiety is at an all time high too. I don't smoke or drink and I'm HPV vaccinated. So I am really anxious. Is this normal? Can't get a doctor's appointment because of covid. I feel like crying.

      Guys I've been suffering from the same thing from past 3 months now including allergic rhinitis, and it really sucks.

      I've tried all the medications, nothing worked. Also I've been taking homeopathic medicine now for a month, although it lessens the pain and is atleast better than the allopathic medicines but still it is not something that could probably treat them fully.

      The pain irritates all the time.

      Recently I had a discussion with a friend of mine who had the similar thing and he told me that he had to do a minor surgery to cure it because they weren't going on their own. I'm scared if I've to get it done and in this Corona period it isn't even safe to go to any hospital. But although initially the pain was very much but after homeopathic medicine it has been reduced largely but the ulcers look the same.

      If anyone is having pain they should try homeopathic medicine for that. But please do let me know if someone finds a permanent Cure for this.

      sure ryt now i am going through the same i am taking homeopathic medicine and its reducing exept pain but will let you know in a week.

    I have same issue since 2 months and I have attched the photo and doctor says it's allergic pharngitis but it's not improving and I have appointment again on coming week image

    imagehaving this issue since april . two times given antibiotic same than being told its silent reflux took all the medications but still its same and it is painful alot hope its not a cancer

    I know I am late to the party, but what it looks to be is cobblestone throat, commonly caused by excess mucus likely due to post nasal drip.

    I know this because I have nasal drip and my throat looks like this as well.

    Common symptoms of post nasal drips include a cough, frequently needing to clear your throat, feeling of mucus in the throat, and some times foul breath, and also sore and or swollen lymph nodes in the throat.

    you can buy OTC nasal sprays to help dry up the excess mucus, or have a doctor take a look and receive treatment through them.

    I'm not a doctor so if you're concerned with anything regarding your health you should always consult with a doctor first.

      As NAD said its the symptoms of cobblestone throat. I have many lumps like this for a year now, they are not really painful but sometimes stuff like dry coconut pieces get stuck in my throat and i have to cough them out. I believe that's due to excessive mucus? I have had allergies and also have silent reflux so dunno. 🤷‍♂️

      Hope its nothing major and all of us can find a cure for it!

    I'm new here so sorry for the late reply but I've got it to but only one in the middle of my throat it's been there almost 3 years now. Mine is bit bigger I dont have any other symptoms but I don't think you have to worry about it

    i have also facing the same problem ,no pain no irritation but my anxiety is high ,but after reading all the comment i felt very well,i think this problem cant be heal easily because i suffering this over a month . so dont be worried about it just cheak out your doctor
