Swollen lymph nodes for 7-8 years

Hello,
I'm a 22 year old male and as the title says I have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck and armpits for almost 8 years. It started when I was around 15 years old with a one or two nodes getting swollen in my neck. The GP said it was nothing so I haven't paid any more attention to them. Over the following few weeks I noticed a few more in my neck and a few in my armpits. They are around 0.5cm - 2.5cm in size, hard, painless and movable and haven't changed in these 7-8 years. I have no other symptoms.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I have had swollen lymph nodes for several years under my right arm. I had no pain, until November of last year. I was diagnosed with Lymphoma aggressive B cells (cancer). The lymph nodes spread everywhere and I had to undergo chemotherapy. I would definitely keep a close eye on your lymph nodes to ensure additional lymph nodes don't appear in other areas of your body. I am hopeful to be clear of my cancer by the end of this month. Swollen lymph nodes are something to be concerned about when they spread. Good luck and i hope it's nothing serious.

It all depends. In my situation, I had swollen lymph nodes for 8 years and they didn't hurt. One day I was walking my dog and I felt a pinch on my left upper exterior thigh and my leg began to swell. Shortly after, I went to get a cat scan and the doctor saw the lymph nodes were abnormal signs all over the interior of my body. Then I had a biopsy done of the lymph nodes and it came back positive with cancer cells. Lymph nodes growing in size is a problem eventually. It takes time for the real problem to appear.

Sounds like my side effects that eventually resulted in Lymphoma which is a blood cancer. It's important you request a biopsy of your lymph nodes to be certain of the diagnosis. Please see a specialist right away (oncologist). If you need a referral go to your family doctor and request a catscan and begin with this test. I wasn't certain of blood work but no tests conducted was as affective as the biopsy. Hospitals will not help you. Your diagnosis has to come from a specialist. After I was diagnosed, I began chemotherapy right away. I had lymph nodes in neck, groin, above stomach, behind ears, and underarms. I had them everywhere and they were painful to touch. My leg swelled.
