Thought best to use a new discussion, re Green leaf medication

I copy pasted this from my post to Maggers, thought it would be best in it's on thread topic.  Cheers...

Now here is a serious topic..  I have had the opportunity to try sampling a couple of puffs of real Green (weed, whackybacky whatever one calls it), on a couple of occasions in the past to see if there was in fact any truth in what they say.  I can honestly say, 'yes it worked for me'...   I lost all my body aches and my body pains.  It freed me up. I was still a little stiff but NO pain.  I tried it in the later evening so I slept really well to.  However I must say I laughed my socks off, more laughing than I have laughed in years ... must have been the good company I shared.  I have thought about this as a pain medication and look at it with mix thoughts... I haven't tried any since, but I possibly would if I could, but I wouldn't smoke it, I'd eat it I think.  I don't have good lungs for that sort of thing.

Have any other folk in here had the experience of using it for pain medication??

All I will say is if you are a person who believes everything our Government say's then og away, believe what your told and nothing else, Derek have you grown cannabis, no, so you have been to Uni and learnt about growing certain plants, thats like someone who studies monkeys knowing everything about every living animal, ow jog on. It's not as if we are not lied too by our leaders, 400 years ago them same type of people were telling us the World is flat, torture and kill that person because they are a witch and I bet 100% it was sheeple like you doin the torture and killing. People seem to have forgotten that they can think for themselves, its your choice, if it is not harming anyone in anyway at all then I think its your choice and not what your told without knowing what you are talking about.

Morning to ALL; I have just been reading up on the inputs while I've been asleep.....when the first comment was made, I thought it was More of a Joke, than a Cat-fight.....I think it's time to say "whoowa"...too much....we're not gaining anything/helping anyone......Bron

Hi bron, i do agree, i think its just frustrating us all knowing theres something out there that is proven to work on relieving pain yet also knowing where we all stand law wise too. there's is bound to be some that have had or no of someone one that has had bad side affects as with other meds too. At the end of the day i guesse its down to each one of us as to if we try this and take the risks. With everyones input we are at least a lot wiser and hopefully cautous now. Its like on the side affects given in our enclosed leaflets with prescribed meds, theres always a risk that we could be one of them.   Sue

no offence was intended sorry if there was any offence caused i only intended to help but its going to raise mixed views but i will swollow my pride and apologise and yes its personal choice so if anyone is going to take it then its got to be your own decission and just be carefull i do care sometimes a bit to much i care more about others than my self and its not my favourite of discussions due to bad experiences but we are all different and things effect us all differently and if it works for some then who am i to say people should not use it no more argueing on this discussion if it helps then fair enough take care all

I was on the understanding that those who suffer a psychosis generally from 'loads' of all day pot smoking and lets face it, most indulge in alcohol and other stuff also, that the person actually also to start with 'has a tentative' problem before hand...

Here in NZ we have had and still have a raging problem with the 'Synthetics'..   They are so wickedly dangerous..  causing terrible mental issues, and yes even death.   I had a friend who was in bereavement grief, however I expressed immediately that the family should watch him, as he had struggled with CPI to bring his wife back, and then stood with his back against the wall for an hour whilst the medics worked on her with everything they had in their kits....  No-one thought to realised that he was in shock.  I warned the family he's going to crash.  His bereavement grief turned into clinical depression, he had turned to alcohol, weed, and then 'Synthetics'.  within 5 months he was doing cartwheels out the car window at aged early 50's.   Sectioned and is still under the Mental Health obviously because once listed with them, you forever are.  He's fine now to a point.  But at an older age it is very hard to recover fully they say.  He will always have an underlying issue now...

Also to think about is the fact that 'some folk', have addictive mentalities/tendances to start with.   Folk with mental issues or already addictive type mindsets maybe should not indulge in naturally grown green..?? not even once an evening for pain relief to sleep...

There are loads of folk world wide, in all manner of professions, even Judges that partake of the green.  Lawyers, tradies, medical practitioners, TV presenters world wide, even in NZ....   and you would never now or guess.

I do also know of folk whom partake of an evening after tea, relaxing watching tv before bed and they have done for near on 30+ years.  They have very successful jobs.
