Threadworm Sufferer

In the spring of 2013 I decided to try walking barefoot in my yard. It is called

Earthing on some health sites. After a few months I felt wiggling in my bottom. I knew right away what it was because my 3 children had pinworms as youngsters. Decided to just try eating garlic to get rid of them. In July 2013 I felt wiggling in my nose. That sent me to the Doctor

real fast. She gave me 200 MG tablets of Albenza. It did help, but not entirely. I told her I still felt the wiggling & she orderd a stool test.It did not show any worms. I've been told that these tests are not always accurate.

Doctors have not been taught how to deal with this problem.

I believe what I have is Threadworms.

The hatched worms do migrate over the outside of your body and although you may not feel it they will invade your nose, the sleep in your eyes, your ears and your scalp and then begin to itch.

      OH MY!!

My scalp has been itching for a long time,

Thought I had a bad case of dandruff and have been using Nizoral

      shampoo.

      Only helps a little.

That could only happen if you constantly touch your head and face with dirty hands

Can't remember where I read that they migrate over the body.  The only way I can verify that is that my clothes get covered in tiny white dots and they are present where I itch.  Also in sunlight there are tiny shiny things which sparkle in the sunlight on my clothes also.  What stage the hatched eggs are at in these instances I haven't a clue.  I only know that the itching drives me crazy.

I don't understand why they wouldn't go to other parts of the body I have read they can't survive in other parts only in the intestine and the colon

Hello Balmpot,   These white hatchlings that migrate over your whole body, do they have a name?

What do they look like when they are in worm form?

i have the white dots in my ears, eyes nose and crotch.

Not so.  The hatchlings migrate (crawl) all over your body.  You may experience a little itch or perhaps something that feels like a nip that is the little blighters crawling over your skin.

It has nothing to do with dirty hands, they can move over the body, although I've yet so see anything actually when looked at on material under a magnifying glass, but somehow they do and can cause severe itching anywhere.

Yep  sorry to tell you this but that it is a fact.

If you are only itching on your bumhole then you are lucky and yes they crawl under your clothes on your skin and on your clothes and drive you potty.

I found a shampoo and conditioner that seems to really work great. Quench. Coconut H20 + (Electrolytes) by Proganix. I have been able to find it at CVS and Target. It keeps my head from itching and stops the crawling sensations. I have tried soooo many different things and this works for me, I hope maybe it will help someone else. I have had Strongyloides for over 2 years. They get better but I can never seem to completely get rid of them. Still trying...

Is it possible for you to get to see an infectious disease specialist? That may give answers for you.
