That sort of thing drives me nuts too. I had to wait over a month for a second opinion on an eye problem. He was an hr late and my apt lasted 15 min. Egads. Xx

Its a bit long winded here in the uk. From the start it took me two week to get an appointment with a female doctor, then refered for a ultrasound which took just over two weeks and 10 days for the  results to get back to the doctor......but now i am being seen for the next procedure within two weeks  ....my doctor has insisted on it, i have to call him if i dont get a quick appointment. Probably because im post so i shouldnt have a thick lining or be bleeding. So by the end of August hopefully this will all be behind me.

I have just had an ultrasound and biopsy following a bleed after 19 months of menopause.

My consultant said that if I was not peri or post menopausal he would not be worried because I am only 46 - but if I am menopausal then he was worried - I too have found myself checking The Internet and wish I hadn't. I do not get my results of the biopsy for 4 weeks.

I am sure it is nothing and we are going to be fine ??

i rang my gp yesterday as i had a scan nearly two weeks ago and heard nothing back he didnt even no why i had a scan i had to tell him. anyways i got a call from the hospital today and was told to go to endoscopy department tomorrow, i dont know why im going there unless thats were they do gyno stuff to. prob having a camera in my womb or somthing.i stoped bleeding two weeks ago and started back bleeding after two weeks so something has to be done.

Had my gyno appointment and had another scan today. She did a uterine biopsy which i found alright. I didnt feel her entering the womb but did feel her scraping it. It felt like a bad period cramp but only lasted about 3 seconds.

She looked at the scan results and said that she wasnt concerned about anythng at all. My ovaries are normal size, they havent shrunk so im probably not post ......even though im 55 and not had a period for 2 years.

I could of had a babycheesygrin

She still going to do a hysteroscopy in a few weeks as my lining is 7mm but she confident that all is ok.

Sorry Jane i didnt see you had asked me a question.

I had my hysteroscopy about 2 weeks ago at the gynocologists.  She had a good look round, took a couple more biopsy from fibrous areas and removed a polyp. She said everything looked fine and i havent heard anything since so i presume the biopsys were clear.

She put me on a course of progesterone to reduce the thick lining for 3 months then back for another ultrasound and biopsy in 4 months.

      Hope you are doing ok.
