How many weeks did it take the anxiety to lessen a month on 75?

Almost straight away it was either that or the 5mg diazapam I think it was more that tbh. But I'm now down to 1 5mg tablet from 3 a day xx

    Hi,

I am new to this site and forums in general. I  went to my GP having anxiety and panic attacks during sleep.  I was prescribed 37.5 mg Venlafaxine to be taken am, for a week, then increased to twice a day after a week with a view of taking 75g of slow release eventually. I felt sick and lack of appetite after taking for 2 days, so stopped as going on holiday. However, I have read information and reviews about it and have got scared about the side effects and withdrawals, so I have put off taking it. There are lots of positives too and I was interested in the fact you’re not long on it and on a low dosage too. Wondered how you were doing now?

Hi I've been on it 7 weeks, 4 weeks at 37.5 slow release, then added another 12.5 mg for week 5... week 6/7 another 12.5 mg added... as if tonight I'l be taking the full 75mg

So fingers crossed I've no side effects... I'm very sensitive to meds so that's why it's getting put up slowly... has taken away my worry and a bit anxiety , I do feel slightly better but it will take 8 to 10 weeks as I'm going up slowly

That’s good to know. Glad you’ve not had side effects and you’re taking it slow which is good.  Think I’d rather take the slow release as I’m sensitive to meds too.
