Water sensations all over my body????

So for the past couple of weeks I keep getting water sensations in my body. First it started in my stomach (i would feel burning liquid moving around my abdomen and my back) then it moved on to my legs and arms, it was sort of like cold water dripping and then this week it moved on my my head. Now i constantly feel cold water all over my head. I went to the hospital on Sunday and they did a CAT scan of my head and blood test but didn't find anything. I constantly feel the liquid all over my body and now I feel it in my forehead, sometimes it feels like raindrops.
Last friday I woke up with my leg feeling swollen and for the rest of this week my leg has been feeling weak and heavy, and my arm too. It never ends and I can barely do anything because I feel these things constantly. Everytime I go to the doctors and they run tests they don't find anything but I still feel it. I'm scheduling an appointment with a neurologist tomorrow, hopefully they can help me with whatever this is. Has anybody else ever felt this before and does it go away/what was it?? I've been freaking myself out looking up my symptoms online and all this scary stuff keeps coming up specifically MS and I'm really scared because I'm only 18 and I'm supposed to be leaving for college in 3 weeks and I don't want to have a disease right now (or ever) but especially at this point in my life. Plus i have anxiety and all I ever do is worry about what this could be.
Sorry for such a long post, i'm not sure if any of this even made sense, but any input would be appreciated. I just want this to go away already....

Hey Jack, how are you doing? I'm experiencing a lot of similar symptoms and it's been getting worse. It feels like fluid all over my body. Burning sensations and now my skin feels stretchy and unattached to my fat and muscle. Could you email me at so we can compare and talk about our symptoms?

Well these symptoms started 2 years ago (insane I can't even believe it), I never found out what it is/was. It's not as bad as it was when it first started but idk it could just be that I got used to it or I'm more focused on my other health problems like not being able to swallow, which overpowers everything else.

@sadsloth Your skin being stretchy reminds me of Ehler Danlos Syndrome. Are you or anyone in your family extremely flexible? Or, has anyone in your family had an aortic tear?

This has happened to me a number of times over the years, the most recent being a couple of hours ago which has got me here. It's always the same I am indoors, its it is not raining, there is no sign of leak in the ceiling and for no apparent reason I feel a small drop of water on my skin.
Today it was three or four times on my hands arm but I have felt all over the body over the years. I feel it the most when I expect it or think of it .I have also felt it when my legs are under the table. It doesn't depend on the wetness but on how wetness sensors are working. For more information you can read discussions section and significance section from this psychology journal- Evidence for the involvement of peripheral cold-sensitive TRPM8 channels in human cutaneous hygrosensation

I have other health issues now that kinda overpower everything else, but what you're describing sounds exactly like what I was feeling. I still get it but I think I've just gotten used to it and the fact that doctors don't care so I just "ignore" it. I don't really have any advice. I've been to a s**t ton of doctors and none of them have helped me for anything. Maybe go to a neurologist if u haven't yet.

I'm sorry to hear that. Difficulty swallowing is also one of my many symptoms. Right now my face and head feels like it's filled with fluid. When I was trying to sleep earlier, I literally heard water in my head that sounded like a squelching stream. Was this also something you felt?
I've been to a neuro before, had an MRI done, and they said it was clear (I never saw the scan for myself though). I'm going to see my rheumo again soon, as well as a GI and hematologist. I'm thinking of seeing a neuromuscular doctor as well.
Do you mind sharing your current health issues? Btw, I'm going to PM you my email address so we can stay in contact

Please ask the doctor to check your B12 levels. It sounds so simple but having a b12 deficiency can be dangerous. I had the exact symptoms that you experienced (I still do to some extent) and after my regular doctor dismissed it as phantom pain etc a very good doctor ordered a blood test, as I had failed my cognitive tests. It showed I had very little b12 in my system - in fact, it was discovered I cannot absorb b12, and that was responsible for my symptoms. I go twice a week for b12 shots, which will be reduced to every two months when the doctor is pleased with my levels. I have to say, the first week after receiving the shots I felt worse, as though I was taking a stroke, but when my body started to get used to the b12 I felt terrific. A lot of my symptoms vanished, although I still feel the odd trickle even though nothing is there, and pins & needles. The doctor said I probably have permanent nerve damage, which is a side effect of having no b12 for a long time. But on a plus side at least it is not dangerous or life-threatening. I urge you to read up on b12 and neurological symptoms, and to have this checked out ASAP.
P.S. if your body cannot absorb b12 it is no good taking over the counter vitamins, as it will make no difference. It has to be injected into your body. Also drinking liquid iron helped a lot. I recommend Spatone liquid iron.

Hey Yashie, I hope you are coping with the symptoms you've described and have found some answers. I just read this discussion and was shocked to see that you actually have two symptoms that are exactly the same as mine. I've been freaking out for a couple of weeks because I've been experiencing many unusual sensations throughout my body. It started with a lot of bloating and gas (I'm belching all the time) and constant weird sounds coming from my stomach/ intestines. Then my esophagus muscles stopped working as they should. The lower sphincter of my esophagus seems to open with a delay, especially with water. Sometimes water will just stay in my esophagus for a few seconds before it's released into my stomach; I often hear a bubbling sound when it finally goes down. Solids seem to push their way through easier but I do have to chew more carefully. Finally, I started feeling like cold drops of water were falling on my skin. This occurs many times throughout the day, especially when I move. I feel water drops on my arms, legs, scalp, abdomen. Did you find out more about your condition? I'm pretty sure I have something similar to what you have.

hi there, this began for me 14 months ago, in The scalp and face. about one month later, it turned into gushing water from the crown of my head...for 2 months.this scalp region slow down, then stopped, feeling like water was in it. But that was the same time when it spread to the rest of my body, feeling splashes of fluid all over (one year ago). that lasted about three months. but I’ve never been right since, and I have not worked since. there’s still crackling under my scalp. And dizziness and weakness throughout the body. If anyone knows the answer to this, I would really love to know, and thank you very much!

Have they checked your B12 levels. When mine was on the fritz, I had more of a water bubble sensation from the inside veins, but after regular b12 injections that got better.
As for the feeling water on my skin, mainly inner part of legs and more so after standing up, I was told neuralgia/ neuropathy from L3 L4 injury on top of the spinal Degenerative disk disease and nerve compression in C2 C3.
its enough to question your sanity or was in my case.
Here's hoping for answers and a fix to yours real soon.

Last Year around July is when my nightmare started. I would get this feeling of water going down my face into my ear on the right side and when I lay my head down on that side I would get dizzy and Ill get this bad headache on that side only. Then when I suddenly raise up to turn on the other side, my head will hurt so bad and Ill get like this spinning motion . It'll wake me up at night if I happen to accidentally fall asleep on that side. I went to A Neurologist and I had a Mri done and it revealed nothing. Then I went to An Ent and He put a camera thru my nose and my siniuses were inflamed. I was treated for a sinus infection and It went away only for a month then returned in Jan 2020. This time I can feel the sensation on the left side and in the back of my head and I only get headaches minus the dizziness. It doesn't last that long and not everyday. I also feel like water in my lower back, stomach, chest, neck and it feels like a flow and last about 2 mins, several times a day. In my legs and arms when I feel the cold water, it only feels like a drip whenever I move. It also feels like water is settling in my lungs and stomach. I experience sharp pains and difficult breathing. Im in pain and I been to several doctors , several ERs and specialist, No one seems to care enough to get answers. They seem to think Im having a panic attack and I need to see a psycho therapists because the symptoms Im describing aren't medically possible. I clearly know when something is wrong with my body cause I haven't felt the same since Jan. Im going to continue to look for a doctor who believes me and is willing to listen. I have 2 kids, age of 12. & 9. I have to get better. My kids Need Me

i still suffer, but can tell you about my experience. For me, all of the water stopped. It did take time though. It started with little droplets. Which increased. Then one day, gushed for an hour and a half at a time.... until 13 hours a day, I couldn’t move because of it. it was crazy extreme. With the urgency of something you couldn’t stop… Like vomiting or diarrhea. From the crown of my head, this fluid gushed down my scalp internally. antibiotics actually slowed it down and made me feel better. But after a month, it still didn’t stop it. I got off of antibiotics, felt horrible, but slowly the gushing reverted back to trickling, until it stopped entirely. however, that’s when it started splashing in my body. That’s when I got tremors, shaking, heaviness, weakness, twitching, jolts, and even needed a wheelchair during three periods, over the past year. all of the water everywhere stopped. And the pain. For me, it all got better, but it took months. However I still cannot function normally. I used to be the strongest, healthiest, most energetic person I’ve ever heard of. today, the crackling that this fluid caused, and which I felt as fluid throughout the body, in my spinal column, and in my scalp… Still exists. So I wake up feeling 200 years old, and horrible. I do not think you are crazy at all. I think that maybe somehow there was nerve damage, or an infection, or an autoimmune disorder. but I also believe it will go away in time. sometimes in order to get better, because I got much better three times… Moving and living life more helped. However, I reverted three times… Maybe because I overdid it. I seem to be in the same condition I was a year ago. There were a few months which were a bit better. i’m sorry I don’t have more answers for you. But if either one of us learns what could help, let’s help each other and remember to tell each other! my question to you is… What Spond this droplets of water for you? For me, I had too much Botox. I think it got infected.
