We have an unknown mite infestation that we cannot get rid of, please help..

We had a roommate move in three years ago, she had a dog who itched and flopped its ears a lot. Our dogs started itching and flopping there ears and then we started itching and getting bit and it never stopped. It comes in cycles, starting with light crawling that seems to be worse at night but happens during the day as well. It intensifies in a day or two and i can feel little pin prick stings as well as crawling and this lasts for a few days intensely with a lack of sleep and scratching all night. It seems to get better for a few days of a less intense relief and then its back and starts all over. It doesn't look like scabies bites or follow the pattern of scabies rash. I have bites focused mainly around my chest neck behind ears and on my face and upper back, they are other places as well but they are focused there and we have scars. The do seem to like areas where clothes are the tightest. Our dogs have scratch marks in ears and around the neck and on the chest and back legs as well. I have been to the doctor and treated with permethrin and taken the dogs in and treated for mange..numerous skin scrapings have come up negative. The dogs were given a dose of ivermectin injection three different times and we have done Permethrin three times from the dr. as well as got rid of dog beds and soaked them in medicated shampoo. We bagged all our stuff and washed and dried everything before we used and vacummed like crazy and mopped with bleach mixture even the walls numerous times. We have a plastic cover on our bed and pillow cases. We have moved five times since this started and we deep clean everything and treat before we move but its still haunting us..We have tried lintox, permethrin and ivermectin (orally) on the dogs as well as sulfur dips and peppermint tea tree soaks and tried the borax and hydrogen peroxide recipe for dogs. I have made medicine for in there ears used at the same time as well. On us i bought the permethrin for horses and we made our own 5%. We have also tried neem, peppermint, tea tree oil, lavender and sulfur lotion, pastes and soaks. We have tried all these things for a month each and still no resolve. We have a Son on the way in a couple weeks and i have come to terms with the fact that we will not be rid of this mystery mite by then and it scares me to death. I have only been able to do natural oils while pregnant. I bought a microscope and have been taping itchy parts and taping around the dogs at night and our bed and looking at whatever i can try and find under the microscope and nothing... I even do skin scrapes with a razor blade and mineral oil on slides. I am at a loss and feel hopeless. as of late i have been seeing tiny little red pin point marks where the skin is white around it, they are not raised at all though and i am unsure if it is related. I have thought some sort of demodex, bird mite, rat mite or scabies and even bedbugs? I cannot find anything on the microscope. They are relentless and i am about to burn everything we own and bomb the cars and buy all new clothes and treat us all then camp out for a month!! I don't know what else to do. Any input would be helpful. I have attached pics of bites and a strange pattern of worm shaped demodex like shell or casing that might be mite related and a picture of a bite site under microscope.

Has anyone found any answers as to what this is and what to do about it? My disabled son, daughter, and I have this for over 3 years. We are covered in scars and ulcerated wounds, we are going blind, get more dizzy and confused /forgetful every day (on top of us all already having seizures, and my son has severe Autism - non verbal so he just cries and screams and hits and scratches himself 24/7). The anxiety, and constant itching and stinging, lack of help, and overwhelming amount of work have destroyed our lives and left us hopeless and alone. We have not slept more than 30 min to 1 hour, in over 3 years ! All I can do now (besides trying to care for children through this,) is to do research, photograph, and video record this garbage all day and night trying to find answers.... We have had to become completely isolated, and cannot have the respet workers come in our home (no one can come here,) to help me with my son due to everything being bagged, covered in plastic, wearing gloves and foot covers, and washing and spraying everything all day and night. I cant keep going like this. I cant watch my kids suffer more as we decline further each day physically and mentally because of this. The doctors refuse to help or discuss the symptoms or run any tests, or they say they just don't know what it is and send me off with no answers. Please some one help! I am so desperate for help.

Oh sweetheart. your issue inspired me so much to solve this problem. Ive thought about you all over the last year whilst also suffering from this problem. i have now found the solution. I have been suffering for a year and a half with small mites walking on my body. Sometimes you see them and they are small black/ brown dots. The distress this has caused me has almost broken my spirit. I have been to the doctor, hospital, dermatologist & specialist and no one could find anything. At one point they tried to put me on anti psychotic medication. One thing all of them used was a small magnifying glass. I was rather shocked as I thought they would used advanced technology. I bought a microscope and found the mites looked like small clumps of glittery hair all entwined. I noticed on my forearms in particular there are patches of dark pink/ brown spots and a couple of small lumps. I assume this is where these mites are living. I also had what I can describe as raised lumps on my forearm that were open at the top and looked almost volcano shaped that were very sore. I knew it was mites living in my forearms and travelling throughout my body. I literally had them all over my body including in between my toes and the bottom of my feet. They burrow and that is why traditional remedies cannot kill them. They come out mostly at night that can be exhausting as you cannot sleep. My skin is like sandpaper, sore in places and itchy is an understatement. The itch is unbearable and I wonder what on earth I have contracted. They also like to come out of your skin when you are eating and I can feel them moving over my legs and body. They like mostly to live on your forearms and I guess it is where the skin is easier for them to burrow. My scalp felt crusty and very itchy, lumpy with what I can describe as insects living in there. I saw them dropping out when I brushed but I can never get rid of all of them. One day I felt hundreds of them running all over my body and I found it really hard to breathe. I have spend hundreds of pounds trying every product under the sun to find a cure. I have been online frantically searching for a cure and no one has the answers not even the professional medical people. I have now found a cure and it is a simple but effective solution. I noticed in my clothing there was a dandruff looking skin in there. A lot of research online and I concluded I had Cheyetillia mites that you can catch from animals. Your skin can get that distressed from this mite mine started getting small patches of pure white skin on my torso and legs. Again, the medical profession had no idea how to treat it so I knew I needed to find a cure myself. Buy Selsun that has 2.5 per cent selenium sulphide and rub this in all over your body. The secret is to leave it for up to half hour then rinse in the shower. Your skin will react to it so quickly and you can feel your skin returning to normal. This is the only cure for this problem. I have tried everything under the sun to no avail. A few hints and tips to I used before I found this cure to alleviate some of the symptoms…Pure Lemon Juice the stuff you put on your pancakes is good.. Get a bowl and put the lemon juice in the bowl and soak your hands & forearms for a minute then remove and dry with a towel. Do this for the rest of your body. A couple of times a week get garlic powder and rub over all of your body like talc, leave for half hour then shower. The smell of garlic will come off in the shower. Where the pink/ brown patches are located on your body rub it hard with your finger with garlic powder and all of the mites will pop out as the lemon juice and garlic would have killed them. It is important to exfoliate your body on a regular basis. Please subscribe to my channel for more tips that I have found for easy exfoliation and more tips regarding this issue. My heart goes out to you all as these mites are absolute hell on earth. Good luck guys as I have now got my life back and you will too soon as I have researched for hours to find a solution. Ps. There is no other cure for this problem as I have tried everything. Regards and best wishes. Xxx

Let's do a Sherlock Holmes and see if a bit of twisting the theory to suit the facts instead of the facts to suit the theory helps at all.
You've done everything possible to eliminate a mite infestation. So let's assume now that it isn't a mite.
Annoyingly, there are often side-effects to the repeated application of the anti-mite chemicals. It's because they're potent. Often they work by destroying the neurons in the mites. So some of these side-effects might explain your later symptoms, and with luck they'll get better after you've stopped applying the mite chemicals for a while.
I had a terrible itch for six months, which seemed like a mite infestation. I'd forgotten about a supplement I'd been taking, and when I stopped it, the itch went away. I highly recommend you look for solutions to the problem that don't involve mites. Perhaps you're taking a supplement or other medicine which might be causing the itch? Sometimes itching is an unknown side-effect that doesn't affect enough other people to be worth putting on the list of side-effects.
Eliminate all such pharmaceutical products one-by-one. If it's possible and not inadvisable because of medical conditions, stop taking them all at once. If the itching stops, then you know the problem is one of them! Reintroduce them one at a time (if you still feel the need for them), with at least a few days between, and preferably a week, so you notice when the itching starts again.
It's also possible that your detergent is causing a problem like this. If none of the above helps, try a different one for a month, and the same with the things you use in the shower and bath.

Hello I have dealt with the same thing for almost a year now. I went to doctor's , took ivermectin, permethrin creams, sprayed bombed you name it, I tried it. I even moved twice maticulasly whipped down and washed everything with bleach and threw out a lot of things as well including a bed. I have finally concocted a spray that kills them almost instantly. I finally slept great without getting bit or feeling them crawling around on me. Go to the store and buy rubbing alcohol 90%, Dr.Teals bath and body oil (eucalyptus & spearmint), Dawn dish soap, tea tree oil, and a liter spray bottle. Make a 70% alcohol 30% water mix in the bottle leaving a 1/4 of the bottle empty. Then add a 1/3 of the Dr.Teal's bath and body oil to the solution add a half ounce of Tea tree oil and ten pumps of Kerosel, last add 5-10 drops of Dawn dish soap and close the bottle and shake. You should have a milky white solution now. Spray this on every surface you can as often as you can. Add a couple cap fulls of the Dr.Teals oil to your laundry as well. Hope this helps. God Bless you always 🙂

To whom it may concern...as a 4 year sufferer, i have a system that works for me it took quite some time to develop this but it has alleviated my symptoms 98%
I identified "it" is most likely a co-infection of one or more, demodex mites, scabies, springtails, fungus, & bacteria.. IT becomes airborne, you MUST get HEPA filtration in bedroom where you sleep at the MINIMUM. Take a shower at night wash with hot rinse cold, use clove oil 3 drops in shampoo and 3 in conditioner...while conditioner is in hair fill a large cup with water and turn off shower...soap up entire body head to toe with tea tree oil and or clove oil and soap leave for 1-2 min, rinse luke warm then slowly get colder and colder ... use a shower head water filter and change often as all filters will get contaminated and become a source of cross contamination. Lint roll sheet on bed and shake top sheet out doors EVERY NIGHT. Wash clothes using borax, dry quick till damp as your dryer is 1 MAIN source of CONTAMINATION... YOUR clothes become the filter for your contaminated AIR!!!. Install an electrostatic filer with magnets of back of dryer to keep contaminated air out. IRON YOUR 100% cotton only underwear socks pants and shirt... I have used this successfully to elimate 98% of infection. MY Skin is clean under magnification up to 1000X. The environment is your MAIN source of contamination, every time you leave your home your clothes are statically charged, as well as your hair...upon returning vacuum bottom of shoes asn wash your hand put your clothes in a trash bag . you can come your hair and or use a hepa (i use 3m electronic vacuum with ULPA high efficiency (better than hepa) filter to vacuum hair or just shower BEFORE you contaminate your house and start all over again... your AC ducts is 2nd primary source have them cleaned or replace them... or bug bomb with raid permetherin dry fog cans... dry fog bomb your car, your wallet / purse. Cross contamination is everywhere..The 3rd and main source is your clothing and bedding including your towels and whites, change them often...use only 100% cotton so you can steam them with iron...
last but not least you must CLEAN up ALL the NEGLECT... clean you house WALL to WALL.... start with your bedroom as i know it can be an undertaking to clean the house... it took me a year sadly... use fung shui principles have your furniture off the wall, ect so you can vacuum reqularly I recommend the Riccar hepa cordless vacuum it is great has a bright light i like to vacuum at night as the dust is easier to see... iF you have RATS nest somewhere in your house this is a HUGE problem obviously...it must be removed I did not realize a rat had made a nest in my laundry room under my washing machine !!!! i did not notice sadly for monthes.... this was a eye opener for me, i was cleaning like crazy but i never pulled out my washing machine and looked under it!!!!!
This is a PLAGUE from the bible...its called LEPROSY...in Hebrew this is called INFECTIOUS SKIN CONDITION... its the CLEAN vs the UNCLEAN... God Bless you all you will need his help to rid yourself of this scourge.....
