Weak muscles, shaky body, pins and needles and anxiety

Hi, I've had anxiety for years and most of my family suffers from it. Recently I've been having pins and needles, burning feeling in my hands or feeling of numbness in my finger tips. When I wake up in the morning I feel very shaky inside and today I've felt my legs shaking throughout the day and feeling weak. I'm feeling so overwhelmed by it and convincing myself  I have MS. It's literally preoccupies my mind throughout the day and I feel like I'm driving myself crazy checking for symptoms. I've been seeing therapist for years and I've been fine for years but for some reason it hit me hard again beginning of this year. Does anyone have similar symptoms?

    Hey Mrs K123,

I am having literally the exact symptoms you are and have been going through this for months.  Did you ever obtain an actual diagnosis for what you are going through?

Hello there i am a 27 year old femaie and have been suffering from what ive been told is anxiety since november last year it started with numbness in my hands which worried me i then had a bad panic attack after using a sauna whilst at a spa with friends m heart was racing and since that day i have had palpitations every single day and in the last month i seem to be having internal tremors its like im shaking on the inside but it cant be seem on the inside its like there is a vibrating phone iniside me does anyone else have this? ive been docs bloods are normal and when i said about the shakes doc examined me and thought nothing of it. I had a 24 hour ecg for my palipations 3 weeks ago no results yet which apparently is a good thing im just so scared of being alone incase i collapse i have these physical symptoms every day and its horrible.

Hi there. I have just read your post and the previous posts on pins and needles, inner body quivvers and muscles aches etc.

I have had palpitations (ectopic PVC's) since Oct/Nov last year which i have seen a cardiologist about, had ecg's, echo's and wore a 7 day holter. I was prescribed a low dose beta blocker to keep my heart rate down and hopefully control the palpitations, which it has helped but they are still there along with the body quivers, body aches and pains, muscle and nerve spasms, numbness in hands and daily headaches.

I along with many others who have suffered these symptoms thought (sometimes still do) I had either motor nuerons, MS or another terrible disease. You can do your head in thinking like that and it just increases cortisol levels to rise which in turn causes a lot of anxiety and physical symptoms.

I've had blood tests to check my thyroid, an MRI to check my brain for any lesions or MS and it can be very overwhelming to think the worse and you just want to feel good again. It's definately something that doesnt go away over night.

Have you tried mindful meditation, exercising or EFT tapping? These are some of the things that help me, along with reading other stories like yours. Hang in there!

Hi everyone, I just found this site when googleing my symptoms, I have been unwell now for a month, it started off with a dizzy unbalanced feeling and then quickly progresed to a week of extreme fatigue, noappetite, a couple of episodes of uncrontrolable cold shaking that stopped as soon as I warmed up with blankets and it was a summers day so not cold. Constipation, pins and needles, numbness in my feet, hands, legs etc , very wobbly legs and the feeling that I am shaking inside like an extemely nervous feeling, as well as a vibrating humming feeling in my head. My appetite has returned a bit and the fatigue is still there but not as bad but the shaky feeling inside when Im not actually shaking and the wobbly legs continue. Ive had lots of blood tests that have not found anything, I also am worried it could be MS as it ticks lots of the boxes with the symtoms but my doctor dosnt seem to think so and Im waiting for a referel to a specialist. I have never suffered from anxiety before that I know of but do tend to worry a bit about getting something sinister.  I would be grateful to hear from anyone with advice or similar symptoms, its been such an awful time and I still have very little energy , thanks in advance.

Hi! I know you posted this almost a year ago, but I'm also a 27 year old female and could have written your post myself. The inner vibration, the palpitations every day, all of it.

If you ever want to chat about this stuff feel free to message me, it's good for us to reassure each other.

Lee....I have a similar story. Developed a small muscle twitch in my thumb before Christmas, later followed by a viral vertigo issue that left me in a fog. I contacted Dr Google and convinced myself that I have a major neurological issue. I developed tingling and tension in my legs, the chills, and have had real problems getting a good nights sleep. I wake up after 3 or 4 hours and my body is all stressed with muscle tension. I am waiting for blood results and a neurology test that I pray will help put my mind at ease. I also seem to get the same internal shaking or vibrating sensation which leads me to do Dr Google again...not a good thing for a guy that worries. Keep the faith that all is well. Going to try yoga, more meditation, etc...

Yes I am never going to Google symptoms again. It's amazing how many terrible physical symptoms you can get just from being worried about having something sinister. I was so dibilitated for 6 weeks. Im so much better now. I think acepting it was most likely anxiety helped the awful physical symptoms to subside and my appetite and energy to return. I'm sure you will feel much better soon even though itprobably dosnt feel like I now

      Hi chloe,

I know this is an oldpost. But i wanted to check how you are right now. I am a 28 yr old female facing the same symptoms. I am diagnosed with GAD.

I don't get needles and pins feeling unless I'm in the midst of a bad anxiety attack and I've been hyperventilating. But once that happens it even makes it worse! I'm always fearful that I'm going to go into cardiac arrest at any time. It really sucks because this anxiety has really turned my world upside down. It's hard to hold a job because of it. It made it hard to focus in school. The only time I can keep it under control is when I'm at home. When I go out to dinner, shopping, to work -- anywhere, that's when it comes out.

I feel shaky inside all the time. When I try to lift something heavy, I tremble. It's pretty much all over. Bad nerves run in my family, but I'm always scared that I'm developing Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis or something like that.

What you've described is also what i experience, i haven't worked in over a year ,I'm ok at home ,but once i go out to the store or out shopping even to have dinner at a friends house i start to feel anxiety coming on . My doctor has said I'm just really stressed out and that causes anxiety and panic attacks , i have started exercising to keep my mind occupied and i started to make crafts aswell . I did also start taking a nutrition drink called Zeal , my doctor approved it ,and it seems to be helping me , we need to take it easy and not be too hard on ourselves, it's quite comforting to know i am not alone in dealing with all these symptoms, wish there was a magic wand to just poof everything away . Lots of luck to you, hope you get well soon .

      Hi,

It comes and goes. I just started eating better and now my bp is fine. It took about 7 months to feel better I'm still not the same; don't think I ever will be...

      Good luck
