Weak muscles, shaky body, pins and needles and anxiety

Hi, I've had anxiety for years and most of my family suffers from it. Recently I've been having pins and needles, burning feeling in my hands or feeling of numbness in my finger tips. When I wake up in the morning I feel very shaky inside and today I've felt my legs shaking throughout the day and feeling weak. I'm feeling so overwhelmed by it and convincing myself  I have MS. It's literally preoccupies my mind throughout the day and I feel like I'm driving myself crazy checking for symptoms. I've been seeing therapist for years and I've been fine for years but for some reason it hit me hard again beginning of this year. Does anyone have similar symptoms?

Hi, I only just recently became shaky, numbness and the occasional sharp pains. I'm only 14 years old and I constantly worry that I have some health issue. I recently saw an add come on tv about a sugar documentary and that made me freak out. I then started to feel shaky and this lead me to think I may I have diabetes. I still worry even though I have read other people going through the same things I am. does anyone

know any way to ease the feelings or help prevent it???

I have had those similar symptoms with the burning feet and have been having pins and needles starting back in October in my arm, and now all over my body. Have been back and forth to my primary doctor numerous times. Had bloodwork done and it showed a Vitamin D deficiency but it has since gone up to 49 since taking the prescribed vitamins which is now in the normal range. I also was referred to a neurologist and had an EMG to check where the pins and needles began in my arm back in October and all checked out fine. Also began seeing a therapist a few months back in case it was due to anxiety, but since then my anxiety had gone down tremendously and I have not had any panic attacks etc. And this was without any anxiety medication. But I still have the pins and needles most days. Anyone else have this? Is there additional testing or somewhere else I can go from here? Could it be hormonal or something that has been missed? Any help would be much appreciated!

Just saw this thread now. About 8 weeks ago I started waking up with numb hands in the morning but although it happened randomly in the past it didn't really go away for 2 weeks. Tips of fingers numb but not fully numb...a but like they got burnt. Went to gp and as have had anxiety in the past they felt it was possible anxiety but got sent to a physio too due to back and neck issues. Back to gp a week or two later as feet started tingling g and got a weakness , very slight in one leg. A week after this I start feeling slightly dizzy and a bit unsteady followed by nearly a constant feeling of worry . Then began getting weird headaches and my tongue flared up in sores which may or may not be burning mouth syndrome but literally it's been one thing after another. GP was always confident it is nothing serious but ran full bloods all normal thankfully. Told me to take Lexapro, but I have held off on that as don't want med so I take half a Xanax if I'm bad. Then I insisted on an mri as began to feel very worried. So she did neurological test and I had my mri which was fully normal. The worry of that nearly sent me crazy. My anxiety has never been like this before and I have never felt so unwell. Since the reassurance of the mri though I do feel better and less symptomatic. Waiting on an appointment now with a neurologist. I think if the dizziness went away I could cope. Have started homeopathic remedies now and CBT. ...only done one session so far. Any thoughts?

Hi don't know if you've had your results yet but you have classic vitamin b12 deficiency symptons - has that been tested? There are several types and different bloods so keep pushing the doctors

Hi, very interesting. Sounds a bit like me. I had a strange spell happen to me over five months ago as a woke up in the morning. When waking I had severe spinning of the room and inner shakiness, never have been ill in the past. That day threw off a multitude of symptoms for months. Right now though I wake up every morning feeling shaky inside and just not right. Also sometimes in sweats.

During the day I have spells of light headness and feeling off along with weak legs. I can't explain it it's so strange. I have been to every specialist, had every blood work up taken, MRI's, cat scans, ENT, optomologist, and more recently nuerologist which told me I have migraines and has put me on Nortrptyline.

I don't have this so called migraines during my spells though?!?! So I'm afraid to take the Nortriptyline. Ugh. Anyone else feel this way?

I've always had shaky hands since I was a kid and tremors in my body but nobody ever took it serious not even my mom she would say that's normal just relax but I think it really got worse when I was in like 8th grade and my teacher would call on me to read and I would start shaking and everyone would start laughing and my teacher would say I'm shaking like a leaf which didn't help because it made my stress and anxiety worse and the kids would volunteer me to read just to see me shake and hear my voice crack which was traumatizing fast forward to today at my new job recently I been getting these weird looks from the cleaning guys who if I didn't ask around I wouldn't have known but from what I was told I get nervous when they come around but lately they have been standing directly in front of my work area and it's like 6 of them which has caused my hands and body to shake because I feel them looking at me and I try to clear my head and focus but it doesn't work I just get clumsy and lately my hands and feet the tips have gon numb I don't want to quit but I feel like I have no other solutions.

Hi Mrs K, Are you still available to talk because I would like to share my experience with you.. I know you posted this over a year ago but I'm hoping we can share our experiences because I have been freaking myself out convincing myself I am having a mini stroke or a heart attack!

I am currently going through loads of tests and that's been freaking me out!

My symptoms started ab 6 weeks ago,

constant headaches, went to doc to investigate and they did a few checks and just put it down to tension headaches..

I wasn't convinced so went for an eye test as they can detect many health problems..

I failed the Vision Field Test so they referred me to my doc for pathology tests and a CT Scan... all this has been freaking me out and last week I believed I was having a mini stroke! I felt so weak, shaky, numb and half of my side just felt weak.

Doc referred me to the medical unit who did loads of tests and convinced me it wasn't a mini stroke. Went to the T.I.A Clinic yesterday who assured me it was a panic attack but my symptoms feel like it's a lot more serious!

Had to phone in sick today for work as I thought I was gonna pass out,

The weakness and tremor is freaking me out so much I haven't got any strength.

So sorry for rambling, I hope you have recovered now? Zoe x

      Hi Zoe,

I've been following this thread and experience just about all the same symptoms as you and everyone else. I would love to chat as it can be reassuring. I started dealing with all this about a year ago...And recently has returned unfortunately. I have been through so many tests... blood work, CT, MRIs and doctors. Hope to hear from you!

      Jill

I could weep with relief at finding this thread.  I have a neurological condition called dystonia, which can cause some of these issues, but I've been suffering with terrible tremoring and weakness for months and months which he suggested might be from anxiety at having the initial condition!

Knowing that others here who don't have dystonia, do have similar other issues is encouraging.  It offers a way to begin to cope and go forward.  THANK YOU!

Yes, altho' I can't say it's giving me much relief.  Some injection periods are better than others.

It's only in the past year that other symptoms such as the muscle weakness and full-body tremoring have come on board, and it's left me struggling.  It was a big year - many changes, putting my mother-in-law (who lived next door to us) into a nursing home due to her dementia, then selling our home of 35 years to return to my hometown... then moving my mother-in-law to a nursing home here, only to have her health take a nosedive, and she died three weeks later.  So... it's hard for me to know if these other symptoms are related to the dystonia itself, or to the fact that dystonia is tough to live with, and all these other life events put me over the top.

Do you have the same symptoms of full-body tremoring and weakness?
