Weird Tingling sensation in my Vagina

This started 2-3 days ago, I've been feeling weird tingling sensation in my vagina after I pee. I doesn't burn nor do I have pain it just after I feel I have a weird sensation. I been having an urge to pee and pressure on my bladder.  It feels like an orgasm but then again I don't know. I seriously need help!! I've been looking it up and the most recent study I've been seeing is UTI or yeast infection

So I’ve been having what sounds like a similar feeling. It’s like a tingling sensation that lasts for a second or 2. I went to ob/gym she didn’t have an answer and told me to go to urologist.  Went to urologist last week and she basically laughed at me. It does seem to be more frequent of a sensation when I drink coffee. Has anyone gotten any more answers?

Ok ladies! I have tried hormone cream not  it. Went for cystoscope and Ct at urologist yesterday. Everything was find. Recommended pt for pelvic floor. So I have been seeing a therapist for tight splinter muscle in my back side for about  6 weeks. Making great progress but I have been assuming the tingling was part of uti. Which I had been given meds for. Note strep B isn’t normally treated as I learned from urologist. Therapist did check my muscle tone in vagina when I first started and all was find. That was at the beginning of the strange tingling sensation. As time has gone on it has gotten worse. So my therapist checked my vagina  last week and sure enough. Muscles are tight and one side the muscle was in spasm. Been relaxing, doing stretches and she has massaged the muscles twice. As soon as she touched the one spot I was like that is it. Get to a pelvic floor therapist in your area. Research how to downtrain your muscles. I catch myself squeezing my muscle all the time. Habit, stress etc. I have always urinate often. So retraining bladder as well. I hope this helps.

Hey ladies, I've had this on and off for years...

About seven years ago I went through a phase of being permanently horny, and no matter how many times I tried to sort myself out, I was back at square one. I did some googling and found something which I can't quite remember the name of, but was essentially Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome or other such words which perfectly described the problem. I remember very clearly it being just on the inside to the left, which was typical of it and possibly the only place it struck. So if it's there, perhaps try looking that up?

I can't remember there being any actual cure, but I did visit Ann Summers and got "Just Ears". Maaaan, it took AGES, or felt like ages, but when it finally came it was the mother of all orgasms! I lay there unable to move for about half an hour! But somehow this new beast of a vibrator sorted it out... Completely sorted it out!

But I've had various spells of tingles over the last few weeks, not solidly like it was in 2011/12. Alas, not wanting to scare anyone I came online because I've got news of a dodgy smear test and I was wondering whether it could be related.

I've got a bit of a complex medical history, starting with having cancer as a ten year old, which lead me to go through the menopause as a 14/15 year old, and have never even had a period. A lack of hormones brings all sorts of problems! And so I've had five years of dodgy smears, although I think this is only the first or second time it's actually required any treatment. This issue is called CIN. But if the same bad change in cells happens on the outside it's called VIN. I've unfortunately had two bouts of that too...

But as part of my treatment I was given a hormone pessary to use, and my goodness, hello sexdrive! Thankfully I had a boyfriend at the time who I fancied the pants off... And I put him to good use.

But I also got that tingly feeling, and constantly had to stop for a wee. Then one day whilst on my own I had to frantically find some towels to put down... I mentioned this to the VIN specialist and she told me it was just me ejaculating and that my boyfriend should most definitely take it as a compliment. Haha. She said "some girls do produce liquid when they climax, but go with it if you can it makes the experience more enjoyable". Sex tips at the GUM clinic, who'd have thought it eh? Ahh, she's a lovely consultant! But yeah, it turns out that some "lucky" girls actually squirt out liquid that does come from the bladder, BUT when needing/heading to wards and orgasm it has an enzyme in it, which is only produced when you're sexually aroused. And so, when you go to the loo, it might be a bit of a sign like guys get, although theirs is much more visual. If you can, go and see if pleasuring yourself works. It may just be something like starting a new hormone cycle phase of your life, and it may be your body saying "Hey, let's have some fun! Trust me, it's gonna be good". After that consultation, i stopped going to the loo every time I thought I needed a wee during sex, although defo did for the first two cos they'd be genuine wees, and my goodness, it's got absolutely spectacular. And messy. You need LOTS of towels!! But seriously, once you can get past it, the orgasms are out of this world.

But what I've come to realise since using these pessaries is that sometimes you feel horny from your clit, and sometimes you feel horny from your g-spot. This may be common knowledge to everyone else, but I don't produce any of my own hormones, and it'd be dangerous for me to take replica levels of HRT, so I've tested out many over the years and each of them have been completely different with different side effects...

So I'm wondering whether age, or whether you're single, or if other aspects, perhaps stage in cycle, might have something to do with it?

Cos I don't believe it's a urinary tract infection, I think we're all just horny but our body is letting us know in a different way to what we're used to... Hehe

I hope someone has found something useful in the above, and please don't be scared about VIN or CIN. I don't think it's anything to do with that at all, but more to do hormone levels having a wobble.

No problem at all! After everything I’ve been through, I’d feel so bad if I didn’t answer a request for help, if I thought I might know something of relevance... Plus the Pesistant Sexual Arousal Syndrome thing can actually get quite painful, so no doubt very worrying to some folks!

Hope everything turns out tickety boo for you and it’s nothing to worry about. And that an absolute beast of an orgasm cures the problem. Oh man, just imagine if that was the cure for all ailments and diseases. Oh god, no, that could be disastrous!

      Best of luck... xRx

My problem was tight pelvic floor muscles. Find a PT in your area.

I had an MRI of my lower lumbar which indicated I have a syrinx (cyst) on my spine which is near the area of the conus medullaris. This nerve bundle does go down into the vagina. The cysts are not cancerous and don’t really pose any sort of threat ( unless pressing on a nerve). I’m not sure what treatment is yet. I have a follow up with neurosurgeon who speciallizes in syrinxes next week. I would recommend talking to your pcp about the tingling and they can refer you for an MRI. I have also been going to the chiropractor and yoga and have had basically no tingling since.

Google "persistant genital arousal syndrome". I wonder if this syndrome has any correlation with having tight pelvic floor muscles? hmm...

i have this exact same feeling and have had it for years. I also get hot and cold flushes with it and for some weird reason my feet hurt - like i need them squeezed. How do i take all that to a Dr without looking completely insane?

Have you heard of interstitial cystitis? You might want to look this up.
