I think for me it's anxiety. The anxiety wears me out -- I'm tired, mentally drained-- over thinking, unsure of myself and what should be done. And yes with that actor who recently died at 52 from a stroke, it's scary.. And when the kids are dealing with something, I can't back away-- I have to be worried too. Then all this causes headaches/head pressure which I'm totally useless for a day or two... I hate dealing with a heavy period as well BUT I know that will eventually go away!!

Wow Netty just flipping over from my post where we have been in conversation, I practically mirror all your symptoms!! jelly legs, feeling as if being pulled over when walking, head pressure, weak legs and it goes on!! For years I have put it down to my AS and I am sure that plays it's part, but so many of us with similar symptoms!!

My anxiety rules me at the moment and it switches subjects to focus on, sometimes it's all about emotions, others it's about health, I was given confirmation last year that a lump in my breast was a blocked milk duct and age related, nothing sinister and couldn't turn into cancer, but instead of feeling elated I was left worrying about being misdiagnosed, I just don't trust anyone!! and aches and pains that are normal to me have suddenly in my head become sinister, so illogical!!! my dad had dementia, so now every time I forget a word or mix words up I convince myself that I have dementia!! and do lots of online tests to reassure myself!! I've only got to get a blemish to stress about skin cancer, I end up telling myself that I would be really unlucky to have so many ailments all at the same time haha, I just want to feel mind healthy again, the times that I do ignore it all and try to get on with it I find my old self resurfacing and feel happy and positive again, just wish that old self would conquer the newer self. I hate feeling like an hypochondriac as I've never been one to go to the doctor's surgery unless I'm forced to.

      hi pam

at least we have this forum to find some reassurance otherwise in my case I would feel so isolated with it, having said that I am new to this forum and had my last period ten years ago and perimenopausal before that, I thought that my main symptoms were hot flushes and migraine type headaches (I used to have monthly hormonal migraines) but now I realise that I have been having so many more symptoms that I have blamed on other things, it's good to share and talk on here
