What Bacterial Vaginosis symptoms did you have??

Just wondering what symptoms have others experienced while having BV?  My symptoms are smelly vaginal discharge which normally smells fishy.  Recently and I have noticed in the past some achy abdominal pains and also swollen lymph nodes in my groin area. Does anyone have any similar symptoms caused by BV.  I have had the infection for since September.

Hey so I never had bv or a yeast infection before so everything is just freaking me out... I wore a thong Friday and that’s when it all started.. my vagina was really itchy and irritated... so I changed and put some cotton underwear on.. but the next day I would be itchy and irritated off and on as well as using the bathroom way more also my discharge is a light yellow and a little watery.. so is this a sign of bv ?

It could be, but if it’s super itchy, it makes me think yeast infection. If you’ve never had either infection before, you should have your doctor or a clinic take a look! They’ll be able to help you out pretty easily probably.

Check your vaginal ph levels. If it’s off, it can cause nausea, bloating, white and brown discharge or fluid, bloating, constant infection, headache and diarrhea. If your getting sick just because something interacts with you vagina. It very possible you have an imbalance in your PH.

I had extreme bloating, I even did a pregnancy test because I hadn’t gained so much water weight. I am no longer experiencing the smell or the pain when I pee only a slight irritation randomly. Still using coconut oil and tree oil, it’s a godsend.

Hey ladies , so about a month ago I went to the hospital because I thought I had a uti or kidney infection ( excessive urination , pressure and I had cramps and my kidneys hurt) so it came back clear and they did a pelvic exam told me I had bv so I was prescribed antibiotic took for 10 days then got my period and now the pain is back and I have a bit of discharge but not much and it has a smell but not fishy just not normal. My insurance is up on the first and I can’t afford to keep going to the hospital for this. What remedies really worked? I’m so sick of this and it’s causing problems with my relationship.

BV has to have more symptoms than what doctors are saying. My symptoms have been pelvic pain, pressure, back pain, leg pain, chills and not feeling well. My test came back positive for BV and my doctor prescribed me the metro gel for 5 days. First dose was tonight, surely hope this helps because I’m miserable and have thought the worst case scenarios with all of this. Still a bit worried about PID but doctor doesn’t seem to think that is the case and when she did my exam said it didn’t point to that direction. Then they tell you pain isn’t a symptom of BV so you are left freaking out. Just want to feel better!

Hi! Just wanted to see if this cleared up for you. I’ve been having horrible pelvic pain and pressure as well as the watery discharge for several days. My doc prescribed Clindesse 1 time insert, which I’m going to try tonight because I’m desperate. I’ve had it three times over the last year and worried it’s actually PID. My doctor hasn’t mentioned that whatsoever. I’m worried...

Check your vaginal ph levels. If it’s off, it can cause nausea, bloating, white and brown discharge or fluid, bloating, constant infection, headache and diarrhea, pain in your joints and So much more. The doctors don’t have a clue so you have to advocate for yourself.

Swollen lymph nodes in your groin area indicate an infection in that general area. Which makes sense if you have BV. BV can cause infections higher up too such as pelvic inflammatory disease (which can cause achiness as you described). See a Dr.

I noticed that this only comes back if I use tampons. I purposely switched to pads for a little while and as soon as I used tampons again , bam! It came right back. I don't think it's the cause but there's definitely a correlation.

I’m waiting for my medical to get figured out before I can go in to check my ph and do a checkup. I have most those symptoms and I chronically get BV and it’s horrible. It can be as silly as taking a bath, or going in the hot tub, to soaps. I get most all these, but the white and brown discharge, odor, liquid is the most annoying because it’s as if I pee myself or something. I get both this and yeast infections. I put coconut oil down there to see if I can balance yeast, but that mixed with the bacterial infection makes for a very weird odor that I can’t explain. I recently started adding in cranberry capsules, water with lemon and acv. Tonight I did a water/apple cider vinegar douche to see if that’ll help (read it somewhere). I’ve done tea tree oil with coconut oil before but not sure hoa well that did. I feel like I have to pee all the time and I do but it’s not always that much. I’m almost wondering if I could also have a uti. But I’ll give this a week or two and increase probiotics and garlic along with continued douching just not sure how often to do it. I try and sleep in the buff to keep things aired out. Is there anything else you could suggest?
