Will I experience withdrawls of zoloft after 3 days of taking 25mg?

I have been on zoloft for 3 days 25 mg and I'm having serious side effects I have decided to stop taking and inform my doctor, will I go through withdrawls after only 3 days of 25 mg? I seriously pray not, I have read many of the problems everyone on here has suffered and I have to say I hope things get better for you. I pray I don't suffer the same problems after only 3 days!!

How to decrease is the question, some say, halve it then quarter it, some say one every second day,  all in all the decrease affects seem worse than the start up edfects. Hi, just wanted to say i never had a reply from Lori49107 about sertraline. I touhed it out for a bit but the spiked anxiety needed diazepam and the nausea needed anti sickness pills.  All in all not a good experience.  Others seem to manage to get by but they need to take if for about two months to see any improvement.   Sorry i cant be of any help. I tailed off. Still havent found the right one.

      Hi ann

How was it for u to tail off of it? I feel like i shouldnt have any withdrawels from it since i havent been on it for too long but i need the side effects to go away. Ive heard of diazepam, how was that for u? Is that just take as needed? Ive been experiencing tiredness and some anxiety or panic attacks...

      Thanks for the reply!

After a short time its much easier to get off. The high anxiety calmed a bit and then the nausea diappeared within a couple of weeks.

How are you now? I ditched the sertraline ok. Used the diazepam a bit. Back to mirtazapine. Not perfect but can function most of the time.  Cant take any more than lowest dose.

Hope you found something to help. Look forward to hearing.

Hi Ann I know you posted a while ago but I'm in the same boat. I was taken off mirtazapine three days ago and started on 25mg and having such terrible side effects I'm wondering whether I can just stop them without withdrawal effects. Tried to get hold of doctor but he's not in and unhelpful receptionist doesn't understand I need to talk to a doctor, any doctor straightway before taking another tablet.

Hello, how are you feeling today?  I too took sertaline for three days and just could not handle the side effects.  My OB dr perscribed it to ease my mood transitioning between hormonal birth control formulations.  I still feel so bad, I wonder how long it took you for the side effects to ease, if yet?  Also, did you end up stopping altogether after the third day or did you try to taper off?  My MD says I have not been taking it long enough to have withdrawals.  If you can reply, please do.

Hi there, I'm still doing about the same. I took the pills for a total of two weeks, but this was back in march. Most symptoms subsided except for the head pains/headaches. I still get them on and off. I know my doctor said the same thing, but every where I read online and people I talk to say these meds have serious withdrawel effects that take a long time to clear. How long has it been since you've stopped and what kinds of symptoms are you having?

After three days on, I just felt so out of my head, heart palpitations, something funky with my vision and lights.  NOOOO sleep, even with Benedryl and Ativan. My stomach was churning with nausea and I could not eat even though I was starving.  Headaches too.  I just felt unwell.  Today was my second day off.  I felt much more myself, although I still feel a bit shaky and still a bit nauseous here at bedtime.  I feel like this week has been a very strange journey from which I am happy to have returned from.
