Will it ever end?

I am 37 years old and about four and a half weeks ago I began experiencing serious dizziness. I knew that this was not normal by any means yet I was not falling over or vomiting. I figured that it was just from me being stressed out or something. A day or two later I realized that it was not going away. The dizziness began increasing especially after a cigarette and a cup of coffee lol. My blood pressure is normal and to my knowledge I do not have any serious illnesses. Yeah yeah I know that its not good for me. However, every time that I would look left and right my head began to spin and ultimately I would have to retire to my couch for the whole day. Luckily I was on vacation during the worse of this. I went to the regular doctors office and was told that I may have a sinus infection yet I showed absolutely no signs of one what so ever. The doc prescribed me Prednisone and told me that if there was any fluid in my sinuses that it will clear them up. That stuff is straight nasty and it caused rapid heartbeat and sleep deprivation for me personally. Yuk! I took the stuff and let it run its course yet it did nothing for me. I went back and saw a different doc and was diagnosed with vertigo. She told me that I probably had a middle ear infection, prescribed me some meclizine and a nasal spray, then sent me on my way. Funny thing about all of this is I have 0 ear pain, no sinus issue that I am aware of, and no wax issue. I took the meclizine and it would make me drowsy but it did seem to work a little. The nasal spray just caused anxiety for me so I stopped taking both. The docs gave me a referral to an ENT. Before I visited the ENT, I decided to go see an eye doctor. I wanted to do this as a process of elimination. I started noticing at work behind the computer or when I was reading books, cell phone, or whatever that I was getting dizzy so this is something that was brought up to the eye doc. Long story short I was sent away by the eye doctor and was told that I have perfect vision. My next step was the ENT. I showed up to the ENT about two and a half weeks after it started and that morning I was feeling better. The ENT tested me for possible vertigo and my symptoms were gone. She said that she thinks I have Labyrinthitis. However she did give me a referral to take an MRI and have bloodwork done. She never mentioned whether I should continue with the meds or not. I just finished the MRI and bloodwork and currently awaiting the results. I am on week four and a half right now. I tried olive oil and peroxcide in my ears and exercises but to no avail. I will say though that most of the vertigo from where I look left and right has left yet I am dizzy. I will sit in certain positions or lie down in certain positions and I get dizzy. when I make a turn in my car or come to a sudden stop I get dizzy. When I read or look at my cell phone for more then 20 seconds I get dizzy. I wake up and get out of bed I am dizzy. The worse of this occurs between 8am til about 2:30-3:00 pm everyday almost. The nights seem to provide much relief. this is really cramping my social life along with my job. My questions to everyone are as follows: Has this happened to any of you out there? If so what did you do? Although I am awaiting test results, if they come back negative for everything then what would be my next step and what is causing this excess dizziness? Help anyone!!!!!!!

I have a 15 min walk to work, this is nothing compared to some peoples commute and yet by the time I get there, my office seems like it is completely spinning. My colleague's politely greet me with a good morning and a few obligatory questions and each day I just nod and pretend to listen when the reality is, I feel like I'm completely away with it! It takes me a while to focus on anything and I start every morning by discreetly slouchjng back in my chair feeling completely spaced out & dizzy, thinking how did I actually get here?!
Ive had a lot of tests & they have come back clear, I'm now seeing an audiologist and have been given visual exercises to do BUT I really feel like this weird feeling will never go away?! It's beginning to feel like the same day over and over!!
Is this weird or is this a familiar scenario?

I have seen the GP again about an inner ear infection that is supposed to be the cause of my permanent swaying / sinking sensation. I don't think It's my ear at all but have filled my perscription of Prochlorperazine.
the deficiency in vitamins is ringing bells for me as the swaying sensation tends to get exacerbated after nicotine.
will try multivitamins tonight.

The best treatment is to remove stress, rest and avoid all alcohol, caffeine, smoking and salt. These are things that trigger attacks.
I hope this helps you find answers and relief.

At the beginning of March 2015 I experienced very severe vertigo to the point I could not eat or walk properly with a constant sensation of spinning. I had been trying some inverted exercises to stretch my back but I think they just dislodged my inner crystals and to add to that I got some soapy water deep in my ears that I think inflammed my canals of balance.
I got some medication which stopped me from vomiting to I could eat. What gave me relief from the constant spinning sensation was ripping the magnet out of an old computer hard drive - placing it inside a heavy duty socket and punching a nail through a cork and attaching the cork inside the socket in such a way that a strong magnetic point was created at the nail tip. I made two such with different magnetic polarities and applied the two nail points now magnetised to every conceivable meridian point on my head. The spinning sensation lessened to a very high degree. I found exercises on the net to address crystal dislodgement and over a few weeks started to gradually feel okay with my head.
It took me some months to feel like I could walk without falling and straight. Every now and then I apply the magnetic devices I made to the back of my head and just feel a deep sense of relief from an ache inside my head. So I would suggest perhaps you look at Genesen Accutouch Pens as I simply could not buy them at the time - they may help you relieve your dizzy sensation but I have no way of vouching for you. Best of luck to anyone else reading this and trying magnetic healing devices to relieve a dizzy head!

I went through a bunch of tests and like you, was told I was perfectly healthy. Meclazine only made me sleepy but did nothing for the vertigo. The ONLY thing that helped and still helps to this day is Balance Therapy.
Balanc Therapy is when you are on an examining table with you head hanging off slightly lower than the table. A therapist holds your head and moves it slowly to the left, then back to center. Then to the right and back to center. This process is often repeated. You WILL feel dizzy during this but afterwards, you should begin to feel better! I felt better immediately....it was miraculous!
Please do yourself a favor and stop taking medications that do nothing. Google Balance Therapy or talk to your ENT about it. You WILL be able to control it and live a normal life. I'd be happy to discuss further if you need to....good luck to you!
