In just so scared my heart will stop because of then as in still in the process of getting checked out.
In waiting for the results only my 6 day holster test but I've been told it's could take weeks.
I've had a few ECG's and an omron test both showed nothing.
I don't know what else I can do.
I burst into tears earlier as I'm scared to good sleep :-(

Palpitations are very rarely a product of a heart condition. The more common causes are anaemia, thyroid problems and anxiety!

I just can't accept that it's not my heart causing them as I don't know what else could be
My thyroid is fine, iron on the low side but in the normal range, and how can It be adrenaline when I'm chilled in bed watching a nice film then bam it happens!
You nite think I'm just being stupid but I just can't get round the fact it's not my heart causing them as they feel likenotnos

"What else it could be" is anxiety!
I must admit that it is puzzling why an attack should come out of the blue, but it can!

Adrenaline is there to protect you. If you were really in danger you'd need all those sensations to save you but you're not in danger so it's malfunctioning!
It's nothing to be scared of!

An ECG would definitely have told the doctors if you were in imminent danger. As long as your sinus rhythm is normal, it's ok for your heart to beat a bit faster. It does when you run to catch the bus or race up the stairs doesn't it? When your body is full of adrenaline, it's preparing to get you out of danger so of course your heart is going to pound a bit! The sooner you convince yourself that you're not in danger, the sooner the adrenaline will stop firing off!
Adrenaline only stays in your body for 15 minutes unless you keep it there. If you let go of the fear, the symptoms will disappear!

I suggest you Google "ectopic beat"; there is plenty of information on the web about what causes them.

Please stop trying to advise this person when you don't know what you're talking about. Don't encourage this person to Google because as any medical professional knows, the net is full of misinformation!
Adrenaline causes palpitations and I'll happily explain how! Adrenaline is produced to protect us. It causes exactly the same response during a panic attack as it would if we were in the jungle and encountered a tiger! Now what happens to our heart when we're scared?! It speeds up and jumps around all over the place!
Adrenaline is also responsible for the physical response to excitement and arousal. Who hasn't heard the old cliche "when I look at you my heart skips a beat?"......that skipped beat is the product of adrenaline!
Anxiety and panic are simply a misfire of this perfectly natural human phenomena! Now please stop needlessly scaring people by telling them that adrenaline doesn't cause palps!

An ECG has limitations. It only picks up the sinus rhythm. However, if your blood pressure and sinus rhythm are both ok, there's very little need for more tests.
