Worms in the Face

Hi All,  I dont know if anyone has come across this.  I have a worm infestation in my face.  They travel around under the skin leaving tracks and bursting holes into my skin.  they create glass like balls that split the skin open and move around my skin with ease. 

I first reported it 3 months ago and the doctors totally ignored me treating me for a secondary infection that was caused by open wounds in my face.  They have given me 4 courses of antibiotics treating the wrong infect but totally ignored waht I was telling ithem about the worms. 

The worms whatever they are are very sharp and whereever they travel through in my face the skin collapses, leaving it like plastercine and it causes tiny splinters that are as sharp as anything that inbed themselves in the inside and outside of my skin right down to the lowest skin level. My skin is also producing a clear sticky substance which feels like little shards of glass if I touch it.  All in all, it really couldnt be much worse except for the fact they have made a hole around my mouth which they can look out of.  I am totally sane!

I am in pieces.  I've been telling the doctors what it is and they have totally ignored me.  Even refusing to refer after an A & E i visited confirmed I needed to be referred as the lesions had been on my face for so long.   

I discovered I had private medical care through my company which now thank god means I've seen my first dermatologist.  He's referred me to another dermatlogist that apparently knows more about things in the skin who I'm yet to see.  Even though he's now put me in the right direction, I'm not convinced he was sure it is worms.  I can pull 1/2 inch worms out of my skin bit by bit.  They look like thread worms and never come out intact, you pull little bits off of them.  It leaves worm shape dents in my face and they feel like little match sticks under the skin.  Nobody is taking me seriously as people dont really get worms in the face. 

They have totally destroyed me skin and I have bad scaring.  I have never had acne and had no scaring.   This has all been caused in the last 3 months.  I dread to think how many are alive in there now they'v been left so long.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

      I'm in San Diego California people here have it as well however when we go to the Dr. The simptoms subside. A night its difficult and its tolerable in the day. I've liv d with all the morgellons symptoms about 2 yes now and I'm slowly getting better. This afternoon I put honey and ground cloves in my face clearing a lot if my condition. These brown specs surfaces and attached are thing fiber like strings. I left it on say 14/15 mins over and over and made tea with menthal like leaves and honey I felt tons better.

    Yes, ppl can get worms in their face. I hope you have received medical attention by now; someone that takes you seriously.  I had what you have for twenty years and was told by several doctors that i was hallucinating and damaging my own skin; that i had delusional parisitosis.  well, it kept getting worse and finally a dr. ordered a stool sample and i was loaded with parisitic worms; i think what you have is hookworms and they do tear up your skin and feel like shards of glass!  If you try to take them out; it makes them worse; cuz they use their disgusting razor sharp sucker mouth to dig in.  YUCK.  They are misdiagnosed all the time.  65,000 ppl a year in the U.S. die because of untreated hookworms; it ends up obstructing one of their organs .  Doctors just aren't trained for this...At least not where i live; in new orleans, la....but from what i've read; there is a gap there; where noone really handles that or is familar with it.  it's crazy to me that all these years i was not taken seriously and this damaged my organs.  they suck your blood and fee off your food..they can obstruct your intestines...and this is an easy fix...if drs would just listen to their patients and not be so quick to call them delusional.  If I had the energy, i might sue some of them for the damage it did to me emotionally and physically.  but, no, i am just glad i finally got meds to ged rid of.  you need albendazole i believe.  look up info on the CDC about this and the meds you need.  I feel for you; as this is very distressing; let me know if you found help

      I've been getting treatment since about March before that the doctors were refusing to refer me even though I had big holes either side of my mouth and track marks.  The first treatment didnt work, it was antibiotics and a antibiotic cream with some parastic benefits. not alot I dont think.  This time I'm on Soolantra, which was originally used by vets on livestock.  It takes about 5 weeks to start working.  I've been on it a couple of months now.  i have to go back at the end of the 3rd month and he said if this hasnt worked he'll try something else.  He's never actually tried to look for the parasites though, nobody has really.  Its only now I've gone private I'm getting treated, the NHS were worse than useless.

      Thank you so much for this info. I also live in New Orleans. I have been fighting this recurring infestation on my face for years. It has a definite dormant and life cycle. I also have been told to leave it alone. I have explained that I am not crazy and a not self mutilating. I have said it feels like splinters in my chin and at night it is painful. I could go on. Just want this to end. I feel sick until it goes away as well as humiliated. Please tell me where you got your testing done in New Orleans. Thank you so much

      Hi Cyn I'm in the UK.  I havent had any positive test results.  It is normal for tests to come back negative.  The dermatologist and the moment didnt bother with tests as the ones at the hosital come back negative.

    I am experiencing the same thing that you've described here. From the little white worm like things to this sharp needle types things that feel like shards of glass. The collapsing of the skin and the traveling of them. So far am i nasty it all on my face, which I'm glad it's isolated area but did it have to be the face? I've been diagnosed with staff and treated for that, that I was delusional I needed to see a psychiatrist, and the latest is that I have shingles. But with my Studies on shingles that is nothing even close to what we have. In reading a lot of these posts I think I'm going to ask my doctor for a stool sample is well and I'm going to have a needle biopsy done to do possibly see if they can see anything. I've had this for 3 years now so mine sounds like it's the least and I pray that I don't end up like some of these people with 20 years, OMG. Please keep informing us of your situation and I will do the same. God bless you

      Hi haden, i'm totally with you on that one.  The fact they are in our face though, they will be throughout our body.  They are just the ones we can see.  You know what does my head in, doctors and consultants are fast to say we are mad, delusional etc.. but not one of them has come up with a plausable explanation to explain what is going on with our skin.  Its like they dont want to look into it.  The story you tell them matches the scars on your skin but they dismiss it.

    I had at least 6 biopsies done, they never found a thing. Always just showed inflamed tissue. I don't know if they were missing the parasite or just can not identify it. I have found that Shae Moisture is wonderful in repairing the skin and hair loss, a lot of products but the restoration line is the best. Of course, not much helps until you can get it under control and get rid of them. I was told all the same by the docs, delusional, shingles, doing it to myself, see a psychiatrist, the list goes on. If I had not taken matters into my own hands, I would not have received even the help that I have now gotten. Prayers and good luck to you all.

      I think the problem with the tests is that they are testing for the wrong things.  Dont ask me what the correct tests are because we want to know what the evil things are as well! :-).  Like one of my tests showed slight candida but the levels were so low they didtn even bother to tell me.  Candida is a yeast infection and can cause worms on the skin.

    Hi Nicolamc I have heard of such thing because I now have these under my skin after 3 yrs of trying to convince dr's and specialist of the same thign. They will not believe me and I just have to deal with this. it actually is on my arms caused scars bad, face acne bad, legs which these itch me to DEATH. I have tried everything and always craving sweets and yes, intestinals are so messed up from these whatever they are. I have tried so many thigns nicole and cannot for the life of me find what this is. I have googled so much and now I truly believe it is caused by yeast and there is a parasite that will feed on people and it is yeast loving parasites. I just go day by day. If you found anything please inform me ok?  my skin has trails like underneath from scaring, it won't get better with anti biotics or anything else that I have tried. I ordered herbs for worms and took the entire bottle still no relief. What do we do when Dr's start thinking your loosing it and everyone else thinks you have morgellions? and your the only one that knows what this is doing to your body but nothing is being done about it.? I hope you have found relief because its been going on 4 yrs now for me and noone will even try to listen to me. I am sane also but it drives me insane at times.

      Hi Debbie, I agree with you, I think its a yeast infection of some sort as well, well that was the original cause of the infestation.  Its defo some sort of bacterial infection now caused by the worms in our skin.  The infection isnt being diagnosed and treated so we are left with worms.  My initial treatment was for a yeast infection but I think the cream i was given was too weak to deal with the infestation it caused.
