    Hi Riri,

I have had tinnitus for about 18-20 years and globus on and off for about 10 years.

The only globus med that worked for me was diazepam (Valium) 5mg works within 30mins 100% of the time for me.

The tinnitus I have just learned to live with as will you, theres no point beating yourself up about it, if its been checked its harmless but annoying.

Get your globus symptoms checked at docs / hospital and once you have a diagnosis of globus accept it, move on and enjoy your life...

    Any questions please ask..

    Best wishes smile

Thank you so much ! I read your posts and it’s so horrible you had to experience all that sad such a tragedy but I am glad you are in a better mind frame now ! The only hunky I experience is almost like I have a rice grain stuck in my throat and sometimes the sensation feels like it moves lower or higher and it’s worse when I pay attention and tune in which makes me certain it’s just anxiety ! I will definitely try your stretching technique that sounds like it could help because I get releife massaging my nek infront of my voice box.

I had globus sensation yo the point of panic attacks/ my doctor had me get an endoscopy to make sure all was ok and it was and the doctor was able to stretch the esphogus which put an end to it so if you can get that done then I would do it.  As for the tinnitus I’ve had that too since I999 and I think celexa triggered it/. I’ve read actual stories that sertraline can help it/. Also very expensive but what saved my sanity from tinnitus is hearing aides!  Also expensive but I was able to go through a place called friend of mans that helped pay for it and the lady let me make payments on the rest of it/. Many hearing side places actually let you try them out for a good 60 days to see if it helps tinnitus/ I would absolutely check into it.

Thank you so much Alf! This is me now stuck in a cycle where globus is triggering panic and obsessiveness and same with my tinnitus- anxiety is evil.

That’s really interesting and giving me peace of mind that you say that because I remember when I was medicating last year the tinnitus stoped bothering me!

The thing is my tinnitus is neurological! My ent and audiologist said there’s no need for hearing aids and to stop obsessing over tinnitus but they just don’t get it they are so unsympatheticsad
