Healing - diet changing

Posted , 18 users are following.

Hya all, just wondering if anyone’s been for body healing. We’re the person connects with your body & finds the issues wrong with you? I’ve had LS for a few months now and have other health issues so thought I’d give it a go. I must admit it’s helped so much. I feel better in myself, the down side is I’ve been told to make drastic diet changes.

I’ve already given up milk 2 weeks ago in healing advice. Which has given me so much benefits, my bloods were raised glubins etc and they have come down due to this I think as I’ve had a number of tests done.

I’ve been ask to give up ALL diary products: eggs, cheese, butter etc.

Go gluten free

Give up red meat, fish, chicken etc.

give up sugar

basically go vegan!

That’s has completely freaked me out as I love my food, my meals look bland & horrible.

She said it’s up to you but if you don’t make drastic changes you will get further illnesses. Which has scared the living daze out of me.

I’m so confused at the mo, and not able to get a balanced diet straight. Has anyone else been in my situation.

    Hey Blueplum

I will give you a bit of my experience with diet changes. First let me share with you that I am not fond of doctors at all. If you find a doc that's not in the health field to make money and actually cares about our well being then you found a good one. I out of desperation went to a dermatologist when I developed Rosacia. She gave me steroids and quickly dismissed the fact that I had discovered what triggered me in food by doing an elimination diet. I needed used the steroids and two years later have not had any issues with Rosacia and I feel even though I developed LS, I contribute it and the Rosacia to a very stressful time in my life. Some folks have awful symptoms and I so empathize with them but mine are just not bad by comparison. I went vegetarian and feel so much better than I did two years ago. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables (roasted with garlic) yum, a lot of beans, sweet potatoes and fresh fruit. I do not eat out at restaurants because I enjoy my food so much better. I think going from a western diet to vegan is not realistic so what you are doing like giving up milk first is a great start. I agree with Guppy about gluten. Unless you have celiac disease then maybe just start slowly eliminating things from your diet. The food diary is a great way to keep up with what you're doing and how your body and immune system reacts. I had to do this when I first started because I couldn't tell you what I had eaten 2 days prior! I do indulge in sugar every once in a while because I love It! But I pay close attention to high fructose corn syrup and try to avoid it. We are what we eat and I believe our diets are so important to our overall health. Just take your time and try not to be overwhelmed by all of it. Experiment slowly and I wish you the best!!

Dang it....i just read my reply to you and it didn't make sense....it was supposed to say I never used the steroids that the dermatologist gave me! 😉

So sorry it’s confusing. LS is difficult to treat.

Hello. I don’t believe LS is diet related-personally I think it’s hormonal which, yes, can be related to the foods we eat. However I do not eat gluten, sugar, dairy and have recently given up coffee. I’ve limited my alcohol intake to maybe 2-3 glasses a week, sometimes none at all AND I still have severe itching every night. So there you have it. I’m on TEAM DIET DOESNT MATTER. I eat the way I eat for health. It hasn’t affected the LS.

Hi j14252, The best advice I can give you is to go see a NAET practitioner, google it because I really do believe that you could be eating something unrelated to what you have given up which is causing the constant itching.

I have had remarkable success through visiting a NAET holistic practitioner..really astounding success and so I think it is worth giving it a go.

For example, I had no idea I was intolerant to Rice, Oats, and Coffee.  All those individual items taken together in one day would cause me serious issues until I was treated for them.

I hope you give it a try.

HI there, J14251,   I hear your frustration.  For myself I didn't want to believe Guppy 6 months ago - oh i "fought" it... and then when I couldn't stand the itching and fissures anymore I started by eliminating the sugar which everybody here mentioned as the most problematic. I tried here glutan free, but discovered for myself that gluten is not an issue for me, and neither are rice or oats.

Eggs ARE a healthy food, I agree. I"ve been eating them for years as my go-to protein two a day. I never noticed anything the matter with them (for me).  BUt then I started paying more ATTENTION to my body; tiny little indications. WHY? did I have that bit of overfullness in my belly after breakfast? what was that tiny bit of "aftertaste"?    I never would have noticed if I hadn't been offer this "opportunity" that LS has given us.

J13251, for what it's worth, my guess is that once we truly build up our nutritional status to the superior level, many of us COULD go back to eating things that now antagonize our LS.

Have you tried taking the autoimmune nutritional supplements that I found science articles about? Maybe give Vitamin D3 a one month test to see if you can't get that night time itching down.  It would be very helpful for the rest of us to hear if that makes a difference for you.

I've found a couple more nutrients, including a hormone cream that  might also help us, but here again is the list that i worked up over the last 6 months that is working for me.

Hi Nancy, I appreciate and  Thankyou for sharing all your  information. I have appointment to see an endocrinologist hoping this specialist can get my body align with the right nurtrition and supplements I need to cure my body of LS.

Hi Nancy. Thanks for the message. I actually gave up my magnesium supplement after reading about the arsenic in supplements. There’s a company called Labdoor that does testing on supplements- it’s a free online service. They tell you exactly what is in the supplement you’re taking.  Basically they do what the FDA doesn’t do. Check them out.

Also I’m not convinced LS is auto-immune related. I’m not saying it isn’t but I am skeptical.

I may give up eggs temporarily and see what happens. My diet is pretty benign but eggs are a constant so we’ll see.

What a fascinating website, J... thanks so much for sharing.  I had great fun.

Well so for beginners, the magnesium that scores highest is from Life Extension Foundation (LEF) - where I get a significant proportion of my supplements.

Ah, but it might interest you all to know that a trace amount of arsenic is part of the human chemical composition.  Another consideration to take into account that might relieve you J, and others, I learned years ago  from my chiropractor/kinesiologist/naturopath, a research-oriented doctor and author, that he found that some people NEED a trace amount of arsenic. Since the chinese medicine people have been using it in minute amounts for a couple thousand years it perhaps isn't to be universally reviled.

I went ot look up anything new about the benefits of arsenic and found one amazing paper on a town in south america who had the highest amount of arsenic in the world in their drinking water - apparently fo teh 11 years that this went on before a new filter was installed, the BREAT CANCER RATE went way DOWN.  (yep the opposite happened for a couple other cancer types). In any case, the amount makes the poison.

Since magnesium has so many benefits perhaps you might like to give it a try again?

Hoping for your good health, J  blessings

Hi, my diet is pretty damn good, rarely have sugar, a little milk in maybe 3 teas/coffee a day, maybe 2 toast whole grain with poached egg, always home cooked healthy meals,  natural yogurt, pro-biotic, and 2 pieces of fruit per day, 1 glass of wine, yet my labia is shrinking & inside sore and inflamed at moment, use all natural remedies, oil, baking soda, etc, labia changing so fast, I don't know what to do next or what to eat. I've gone to 8 stone which is not good! What next?

By the way, eggs are not dairy AND they are not bad for you. Someone mentioned in the feed that they are-that is not true. That is a myth that was debunked years ago.

While eggs are, indeed, produced by animals and, therefore, an animal byproduct, they are not a dairy product or a derivative of dairy products. A dairy product refers to a product of the mammary glands of mammals such as cows, goats, sheep and others, and the products made from them, like milk, cream, and butter.

BLuePlum  - you experience recently interests me very much.

I may have mentioned once on here that I use dowsing to help me decide how much of each of my supplements i'm to take etc. Dowsing is a form of listening to your cells after all,  so though I hadn't known that phrase I just looked up "body healing" and found that it what it is (duh).

Ah, the point being that in the last few weeks I've realized that my body through dowsing with a pendulum and by asking enough questions about what I should or should not eat for the "highest and best health" - is really telling me that i should be going VEGAN eek!

BUT i should have guessed I suppose. The integrative cardiologist I found 3 years ago for a "second opinion", Dr. Bailey,  just happens to be a lifelong 7th day adventist - a VEGAN. He is very professional though and has never said a dang thing about his "beliefs".

and NOW, the nutritionist at the health food store, TOBY, who told me about the aloe vera gel with Tumeric - guess what folks? he is a VEGAN!

ya think Spirit is trying to get me to LISTEN UP!? ah.... I'd beel slowly going that way for years though anyway. I haven't done dairy in ages except for occasional kefir because it is fermented.   And hwo doesn't know about the arthritic inducing red meat?  but the new one on me is the egg bit... I only dowsed this 2 weeks ago.

I haven't asked enough question yet to understand why, but there is SOMETHING about even organic eggs that has been slowing down my recovery from LS. so now I've gone egg free. but since that puts me without my longtime protein source, I haven't yet quite got to how to live off of beans of some sort for protein.

anyone here who has a favorite recipe?

I tried to send a link but of course it was blocked by our dear moderates! There are so many sources of protein for plant based or vegan diets! I get so many of my healthy recipes from Pinterest. I have listed a few of my favorite "high protein" items. Once you start with the healthier vegetarian and or vegan you will find that many health issues will lessen. I do understand there are many folks here that believe diet doesn't matter but I kindly disagree.

Lentils, Tofu, broccoli is my super food and roasted is awesome!, brussell sprouts, chickpeas, Quinoa instead of rice, seeds like chia and pumpkin seeds, oatmeal, avacados....the recipes are endless!! 😁🤗

Ohhh SONYA!  would you come to my little home and teach me for a week! smiles.

Yeah, I've been eating all those things you mentioned for ages (I've come to the conclusion I've been a closet vegan all my life. haha)

BUT turning them into breakfast food for instance.. humph.  OH and well i don't know what t do with Chia seed.. thoughI have known about the high nutritiona content - HOW doyou incorporate those little things into a meal?  LUV YA!

    • Posted

Lol! I scatter chia seeds on salads and pumpkin seeds on any veggies! Avocado toast is to die for! Most mornings I eat oatmeal with blueberries, almonds, a bit of coconut oil rather than butter, sometimes with raisins. Once you start eating like this especially if you love vegetables like myself you get very creative! I have not missed meat in over 2 years! 😉??😙

Sonya! My mouth is watering and I haven't knowingly eaten anything with a face for 28 years!

Haha! I'm envious and only wish I had started this way of eating 20 years ago! I can say at 55 I'm probably more healthier than I was at 30! Unfortunately it took me Rosascia and LS to realize I needed changes. I haven't looked back and can say I feel both my face and Vjj thank me for it!😍😅??

Hi Nancy, i asked my healer can’t I even have organic eggs. She said no, they have infections in them? What ever that means. I’ve never been a great fruit / veg eater it’s so hard trying to be a vegan 😬

Why is she saying you can’t hv eggs? Eggs are not dairy and are a great sourc e of protein. ????

Eggs cause inflammation along with regular dairy and animal products and the nightshade vegetables and inflammation is the root issue with auto immune smile

      Nancy that is interesting!!

I am not sure I mentioned before, I have become very proficient at muscle testing for food-related issues.  A year ago I was in a bit of a state and could only eat a few foods due to having MCS. (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) with multiple food allergies.   I studied a lot, read a lot of books and concluded that I needed to become proficient in the art of muscle testing.  I used the  'sway' method which can be found online.

Through this journey of discovery, I can determine in seconds whether I can eat any particular food.  I can also access afterwards usually before bed what foods have given me problems that day and what to avoid in the future.  I am also able to find out what my histamine levels, salicylate levels and inflammation levels are...all of this is invaluable info.

      For example through muscle testing..

I am able to ask if a particular supplement is 'working' for me or not.

I am able to ask if I would be better off taking less or more of said supplement.

I can quickly discover if there is anything on my plate which is an allergen for me.

If I feel unwell through carefully questing, I can pinpoint what caused this, and quickly discover whether it is something I have eaten or put on my skin...it is usually one or the other.

I am sure for some of you this all sounds very woo-woo, but I can assure you I am serious, and in fact, I have got to such a level with Muscle testing that I am now able to use these skills to rectify and remedy any allergies that have popped up and have eliminated them.

I used to visit a holistic Chinese doctor to help with all this, but I have found I dont need him anymore.

Oh Guppy how lovely to find another kinesiological muscle tester on here. I've been using it for years.  I may have mentioned before that I I had one landscape architecture professor who would not pass you in his course if you refused to learn dowsing.  A way to connect with nature.  I used to use it mostly to find lost septic tanks on people's properties that I was called in to redesign.  I've been the Secretary of our local chapter of the American Society of Dowsers for 6 years now.

OH my gosh, Guppy I'm SO happy fr you that your found out about dowsing for aiding you with multiple chemical sensitivities> Just this last winter I was asked for the first time to teach a woman to dowse so she could do exactly what you have learned to do. well she had that part mostly under control from an absent healer but wanted to learn to manage it herself.  BUT what she and her husand really neede me to do was to energetically move some underground deleterious lines of force.  I have learned to do that with map dowsing to some extent and I found and worked with God & Gaia to do that for 3 of the lines but golly there were more lines. So far I can't get the last one. but really I wonder what other issues are for those poor souls who truly can't handle our modern electrified planet from such debilitating hyper-electrosensitivity.

AH, she is the one who taught me how delicious slices of avocado are in bone broth soup.

oh, the science is all there for dowsing (it's quantum physics) and those of you who live in the UK who want to aid your own LS recovery might like to look up the British Society of Dowsers - they are fabulous people and would love to teach you to pendulum test yourself.  There is also an Irish Association and also 3 or 4 associations in Australia.

Nancy, I am so glad you have had such success with pendulum dowsing.

      I found this..

"Some people say that the pendulum creates a bridge between the logical and intuitive parts of the mind. Some say that the pendulum connects them with a higher power and call it "divining" as the information is believed to come from a divine source. Research by many scientists indicates that the pendulum responds to electromagnetic energy that radiates from everything on Earth."

anyway, I am now very interested in pendulum dowsing and so I will do a bit of research into this and give it a go!!  I have had some success already with my gardener and my daughter. My daughter developed an intolerance firstly to coffee which I was able to eliminate and then to tomatoes and eggs.  I have also eliminated so many of my own problems with food .  I just wish I had known all this when I was younger.

For anyone that is interested in starting on their own healing journey, I would suggest for a good start to read the book "How to heal yourself when nobody else can"  by Amy B Scher.. she discusses muscle testing and much more.  This is the very first book I read and then I went on to read "Say Goodbye to Illness" by Dr Devi S Nambudripad which talks about NAET treatment...this is an extraordinary book for anyone with any kind of allergies and I believe it probably helped save me.

Guppy and Nancy- I think its amazing that you two  a have learned about all  these alternative ways of treating yourselves and think  I would love to be able to do everything listed on this site, it simply is not possible! There are not  enough hours in the day! I work 4 jobs, I have 3 kids, a husband , a dog and a house to maintain. I fall into bed exhausted every night and start all over again the next day! I plan to retire in 10 years, maybe I can start looking at that stuff then, but for now I am just overwhelmed with life in general, keeping all of my ducks  in a row and dealing with this new diagnosis  the best I can. All of this information is mind- boggling!

Hi Karen, sometimes when people get a diagnosis of LS it sends them into a tailspin, it is overwhelming.  Then, on top of that to find out it may be connected to our diet is a double whammy.

I think if you just take things one at a time and try not to stress over the LS, and dont expect everything to be okay after a week or so.  I think you said you have only been diagnosed a month ago..it takes time to get to a place where you are on top of things and not flaring.

I predict that in no time at all you will be less stressed, and I hope that your husband is helping you with all that you have on your plate.

Thanks Guppy! I am fortunate to hv one of the good guys. He is very helpful around the house and supportive. He doesn’t understand everything that is going on, is quite squeamish over medical details, but he is willing to follow whatever eating plan I need, be patient with me and says my health is out #1 priority.

that's so lovely to hear Karen about a helpful husband. I actually woke up this morning thinking about you and how DOES a mom have 4 jobs 3 kids an husband etc..

I was wondering how old your kids are and if they are learning to take care of the house and do dishes etc- all those skills?

In my heart I just feel so compassionate for you younger generation ~ that our culture and economic life has gotten So out of hand - at least in the U.S.  that a 40 hour work week doesn't pay the living expenses for most people, it's ridiculous.   When DO children even see their mothers?

How much is LS or ANY of these autoimmune diseases connected to the mothers being so stressed and with lack of SLEEP? or dads. or anyone. The promise of automation oh so many years ago has NOT made human lives easier; we are becoming ill from trying to live at a pace that is BEYOND the human intention.

The greed of Wall street corporations and greedy politicians has created on NON-living wage such that families have been forced to be a two-wage earner home even while children are in the home.  I see the fallout of that is all the processed food and consequent obesity... and consequent ill health.

Karen, your families current living conditions is a pure demonstration that modern civilization is "killing" us. HOW can we 'get back to the garden" as the beatles would say?  What can we do collectively so that all the Karen's of the world are living in balance and health?

Hi Nancy- My “ kids” are now 19, 20, 22. A sophomore in College, A Marine and a Senior in College. Don’t get me wrong,  I love all the jobs I do! I just don’t hv a spare moment to do alot of experimenting with different ouls and creams, etc. i keep a pretty toght schedule with work, family, errands, volunteer work, etc.

I think I have been very fortunate that the Emuaid and moisture barrier ointment calmed everything down, all pain and itching gone and all lesions and ulcers healed. I am able to wear pants again  and my period this time was a breeze with organic cotton tampons and organic cotton pantyliners. My goal now is to return to my life with an idea how to keep this under control and try to prevent another flare- up through diet, supplements, less stress and  paying more attenrion to any and all symptoms and heading them off at the pass.
