Steak and Jalapeño Tacos

These vibrant steak and jalapeño tacos offer a sophisticated twist on a Mexican-inspired favourite. By using skirt steak, you get a deep, beefy flavour that stands up beautifully to the heat of the chillies. The star of this high-protein dish is the homemade zesty jalapeño sauce, which provides a bright, piquant contrast to the rich meat and creamy avocado. It is a fresh, satisfying meal that brings bold street-food flavours into the home kitchen.

Perfect for an easy midweek dinner or a casual weekend gathering, this recipe focuses on simple, high-quality ingredients. The combination of charred steak and raw red onion provides a wonderful mix of textures, while the corn tortillas keep the dish naturally gluten-free. Serve these with plenty of lime wedges to enhance the citrus notes and balance the subtle spice for a nutritious, balanced meal.
