I have had 2 collasped lungs, 1 on each side. i'm a fit 23 year old and when i found out about my 2nd one i was really scared of what would happen next. i saw a consultant who told me i would need surgery. this really set me back because i didnt think it was too serious. Afraid of it happening again, i knew i would have to agree to surgery which involves tying of (air bubbles) on the top of my lungs. the surgeon told me he had done this procedure on many soldiers like air force pilots and divers and that it was a very successful op. he put me at ease so hopefully everything goes ok.
