Dr Stefan Broselid
Scientific Lead at Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society
PHD
Dr Stefan Broselid is the Scientific Lead at the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society.
He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from Lund University, where he specialised in G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). His academic journey began with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Lund University.
Dr Broselid has also worked as a post-doctoral associate at Boston University. With over 10 years of preclinical research experience in the field of molecular pharmacology and GPCR research, Dr. Broselid is well-equipped to understand and educate about the intricacies of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), our suprasystem that modulates homeostasis across our entire physiology.
Dr. Broselid’s passion for ECS education stems from his discovery of the unique molecular pharmacology of the ECS and of the realisation and recognition of a critical gap in medical curricula worldwide.
Despite the ECS’s fundamental role in maintaining homeostasis and its involvement in numerous physiological processes, it remains largely absent from standard medical education, negatively affecting global health care and patient outcomes. This realisation prompted him to establish ECS.education as a platform to bridge this knowledge gap and promote comprehensive understanding of the ECS among healthcare professionals and students.
