Prof Cathy Jackson

BSc (Hons) (Physiology), MB ChB, MRCGP, MD

Cathy qualified in 1983 and has been a member of the EMIS ( team since 2002 (the first 5 years as an author, now a peer-reviewer).
Cathy is the Professor of Primary Care Medicine, University of St Andrews and is responsible for all aspects of the clinical medical course and Primary Care research program at the University of St Andrews.
She is attached to a practice working as a GP for two sessions per week.
Cathy has been involved in writing both formal and informal medical articles for over 10 years.
She trained in respiratory medicine, cardiology, renal and endocrine medicine practising hospital medicine at registrar level before marrying, relocating and retraining as a GP.
