Taking alcohol while using Androfeme (testosterone) can increase the risk of liver strain and may interfere with how well the hormone treatment works. Alcohol can also worsen some side effects of testosterone, such as mood changes or sleep disturbances.

Why this happens

Both alcohol and testosterone are processed by the liver. Using them together can put extra pressure on liver function. Additionally, alcohol can alter hormone levels in the body, potentially reducing the effectiveness of the testosterone replacement therapy.

It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol while using Androfeme. If you choose to drink, keep your intake very low and monitor for signs of liver issues (such as yellowing of the skin or eyes) or changes in your mood. Discuss your alcohol consumption with your doctor to ensure your hormone levels remain stable.
