Why this happens
Paracetamol is processed by the liver. While testosterone cream is absorbed through the skin, it is also eventually broken down by the liver. Using them together does not change how the body absorbs or uses either medicine, but it does mean the liver is processing two different substances at once.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou can take these two medicines together, but you should strictly limit or avoid alcohol. Both paracetamol and testosterone can affect your liver, and adding alcohol increases the risk of liver damage. Always stick to the recommended dose of paracetamol and do not exceed 4000mg (eight 500mg tablets) in a 24-hour period. If you have existing liver problems, speak to your doctor before using these treatments together.
