Why this happens
Apixaban is a blood thinner (anticoagulant) that works on specific clotting factors in the blood. Fexofenadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine used for allergies. They are processed by different pathways in the body and do not interfere with how the other works. Unlike some older antihistamines, fexofenadine does not typically cause drowsiness, so it does not add to any side effects.
