Can I take 200 and Palexia together?

Taking Palexia (tapentadol) with alcohol (200) is very dangerous. It can cause extreme sleepiness, breathing difficulties, and a dangerous drop in blood pressure. In severe cases, this combination can lead to a coma or be fatal.

Why this happens

Both tapentadol and alcohol are 'central nervous system depressants'. This means they both slow down the brain and the body's vital functions. When taken together, they 'stack' their effects, making the sedation and breathing suppression much more powerful than either would be on its own.

You must not drink any alcohol while taking Palexia. Even small amounts of alcohol can increase the risk of life-threatening side effects. If you have already combined them and feel unusually sleepy or have trouble breathing, seek emergency medical help immediately.
