Taking zopiclone and magnesium glycinate together may increase the sedative effects of the medication. This can make you feel excessively sleepy, dizzy, or confused, and may increase the risk of falls or accidents.

Why this happens

Both zopiclone and magnesium act as central nervous system depressants. Magnesium has natural muscle-relaxing and calming properties that can enhance the sleep-inducing effects of zopiclone, leading to an additive effect on the brain and body.

Use caution if combining these two. It is best to take them at different times of the day or speak with your doctor before mixing them, especially if you find yourself feeling unusually drowsy the next morning. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel the effects are stronger than usual. Always remember that it is illegal to drive with any amount of cannabis in your system, and you should strictly limit or avoid alcohol while taking zopiclone as it significantly increases the risk of dangerous side effects.
