There are no known documented interactions between alcohol (90% proof or otherwise) and nicotinamide riboside (NR). However, alcohol consumption can deplete levels of NAD+ in the body, which is the very molecule that nicotinamide riboside is intended to increase. Taking them together may make the supplement less effective.

Why this happens
Alcohol metabolism consumes NAD+ in the liver. Nicotinamide riboside is a precursor used by the body to create more NAD+. While they do not directly interfere with each other's absorption, alcohol works against the biological purpose of the supplement.
