Taking omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) alongside aspirin (Aspirin 90mg) can increase your risk of bruising or bleeding. This is because both substances have 'blood-thinning' effects. While this combination is sometimes prescribed by doctors for heart health, it requires careful monitoring.

Why this happens
Aspirin works by stopping blood cells called platelets from sticking together to form clots. Omega-3 fatty acids also have mild anti-platelet effects. When used together, they have an additive effect, making the blood take longer to clot.
