Can I take Abrysvo powder and Ramipril together?

There are no known direct interactions between the Abrysvo vaccine and ramipril. It is generally safe to receive this vaccine while taking your blood pressure medication.

Why this happens

Abrysvo is a vaccine that works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure and protect the heart. These two substances work through entirely different pathways in the body and do not interfere with how the other is absorbed, broken down, or excreted.

You can proceed with your vaccination as scheduled. You do not need to stop taking your ramipril. As with any vaccine, you may experience mild side effects like a sore arm or a slight fever, but these are not caused by your blood pressure medication. If you feel unwell or dizzy after the jab, rest and stay hydrated.
