Why this happens

Acamprosate is cleared from the body by the kidneys. Tertensif is a diuretic (water pill) that changes how the kidneys process water and salts like sodium and potassium. Using them together can put extra strain on the kidneys or lead to an imbalance of fluids and minerals in the bloodstream.

You should use caution when taking these two medicines together. It is important to stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Your doctor may want to perform regular blood tests to check your kidney function and salt levels. If you feel unusually tired, dizzy, or have muscle cramps, contact your doctor.
