Why this happens
Acard (aspirin) can interfere with the way the kidneys remove uric acid from the body, which works against the purpose of Milurit. Additionally, aspirin can sometimes change how the body processes Milurit, potentially increasing the risk of side effects like skin rashes.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou should speak to your doctor before taking these together. If you are taking low-dose Acard (75mg to 150mg) for heart protection, your doctor may tell you to continue, but they will need to monitor your uric acid levels closely. Avoid taking higher doses of aspirin (for pain or fever) while on Milurit, as this significantly reduces the effectiveness of your gout treatment. Seek medical help immediately if you develop a skin rash.
