Can I take Acard and Roswtrox together?

Taking these two medicines together is generally safe and is a very common combination for heart health. However, there is a very small possibility that the risk of muscle pain or weakness (a side effect of the statin) could be slightly increased. Additionally, both medicines can occasionally cause stomach upset or indigestion.

Why this happens

Acard (aspirin) and Rostrox (rosuvastatin) work in different ways: aspirin thins the blood, while rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol. There is no major 'clash' in how the body processes them, but because both can affect the digestive system, some patients may notice more stomach irritation.

You can take these medicines together as prescribed by your doctor. To protect your stomach, it is best to take Acard with or after food. If you develop any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, or if you experience severe stomach pain, contact your doctor. It is also best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol, as both the medication and alcohol can put extra strain on your liver and stomach.
