Why this happens
Tamsulosin works by relaxing muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, but it also relaxes blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure. Accrete D3 contains calcium; while calcium is needed for heart health, high levels or certain combinations can sometimes interfere with how blood pressure is regulated. More importantly, if you have any underlying heart or kidney issues, the way these two drugs affect your fluid and mineral balance can occasionally overlap, leading to increased side effects like dizziness.

Back to contentsYou can usually take these together, but you should be careful when moving from a sitting or lying position to standing up. Rise slowly to give your body time to adjust. If you feel very dizzy or faint, sit or lie down immediately and contact your doctor. It is best to take tamsulosin at the same time each day (usually after breakfast or the first meal of the day) to keep your blood levels steady.
