Can I take Acetazolamide and Alverine ciitrate together?

There are no known direct interactions between acetazolamide and alverine citrate. However, both medications can occasionally cause side effects like dizziness or drowsiness. Taking them together might make you feel more lightheaded than taking them alone.

Why this happens

These drugs work in completely different ways and are processed by different parts of the body. Acetazolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used for conditions like glaucoma or altitude sickness, while alverine citrate is an antispasmodic used for tummy cramps. They do not interfere with how the other is absorbed or cleared from the body.

It is generally fine to take these two medicines together. If you feel dizzy or sleepy when taking them, avoid driving or using tools. It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol while taking these medicines, as alcohol can make dizziness and drowsiness much worse.
