Can I take Amolodipine and Arovi together?

Drug interaction guide

Why this happens

Amlodipine can slow down the body's ability to break down atorvastatin in the liver. This happens because both drugs use the same pathway (an enzyme called CYP3A4) to be processed. When amlodipine is present, atorvastatin stays in your system longer and reaches higher levels.

It is generally safe to take these two medicines together, and they are often prescribed at the same time to manage blood pressure and cholesterol. However, you should inform your doctor if you experience any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Your doctor may choose to limit your dose of atorvastatin or monitor you more closely.
