Can I take Andropine and Losarten together?

Drug interaction guide

Taking atropine and losartan together may lead to an increased risk of your blood pressure dropping too low, especially when you stand up. It can also cause your heart rate to increase or lead to a very dry mouth and constipation.

Why this happens

Losartan works by relaxing blood vessels to lower blood pressure. Atropine can sometimes interfere with the body's natural reflexes that control blood pressure when you change positions. Additionally, atropine speeds up the heart rate, which may counteract some of the heart-stabilising effects of blood pressure medications.

You should use these medicines together with caution. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint when standing up, move slowly and sit back down. Inform your doctor if you experience a racing heartbeat, severe dry mouth, or persistent constipation. Your doctor may want to monitor your blood pressure and heart rate more closely.

Glaucoma
