Can I take Apixaban and Pravastatin together?

Why this happens

Apixaban and pravastatin are processed by different pathways in the body. Apixaban is mainly broken down by an enzyme called CYP3A4, while pravastatin is one of the few statins that does not rely on this enzyme system. Therefore, they do not interfere with each other's levels in the bloodstream.

You can continue taking both medications as prescribed by your doctor. As with any medication, if you notice unusual bruising, bleeding, or unexplained muscle pain, you should contact your healthcare provider.
