There is no known direct interaction between apixaban and rosuvastatin. It is generally considered safe to take these two medications together.

Why this happens
Apixaban is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) and rosuvastatin is a statin (cholesterol-lowering medicine). They are processed by different pathways in the liver and do not interfere with how the other is absorbed, broken down, or removed from the body.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou can continue taking both medications as prescribed by your doctor. As with any blood thinner, you should always watch for signs of unusual bleeding or bruising, but this risk is not increased by taking rosuvastatin.
