Why this happens

Duloxetine can interfere with a specific liver enzyme (CYP2D6) that helps break down bisoprolol, leading to higher levels of the heart medication in your system. Furthermore, both drugs can lower blood pressure and heart rate through different pathways in the body, leading to an 'additive' effect where the combined impact is stronger than either drug alone.

You can usually take these medicines together, but you should be cautious. Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly. If you feel very dizzy, weak, or like you might faint, sit or lie down immediately and contact your doctor.
