Why this happens

Cenobamate slows down the enzymes (CYP2C19) that break down oxcarbazepine, leading to higher levels in the body. Conversely, oxcarbazepine speeds up the enzymes (CYP3A4) that clear cenobamate from your system, which can lower its concentration.

You must speak to your doctor before taking these together or changing your dose. Your doctor may need to reduce your dose of oxcarbazepine while monitoring your seizure control closely.
