There is no direct harmful interaction between co-codamol and lansoprazole. However, co-codamol contains codeine, which can cause constipation. Lansoprazole is often used to treat stomach issues, and while it doesn't interact with the medicine itself, the side effects of codeine might complicate certain digestive conditions.

Why this happens
Lansoprazole reduces stomach acid (a proton pump inhibitor), while co-codamol is a combination of paracetamol and codeine. These drugs are processed by different pathways in the liver and do not significantly interfere with each other's absorption or effectiveness.
What you should do
Back to contentsIt is generally safe to take these two medicines together. If you are taking lansoprazole for an ulcer or severe indigestion, be aware that the codeine in co-codamol can cause constipation, which may cause abdominal discomfort. Drink plenty of water and speak to a pharmacist if you experience constipation.

Can I take 150 and Zigduo together?
Taking aspirin (75mg to 150mg) with Xigduo (which contains dapagliflozin and metformin) can increase the risk of your blood sugar dropping too low (hypoglycaemia). It may also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, where too much acid builds up in your blood.

Can I take Empagliflozin and Mirtazapine together?
There is no direct interaction between empagliflozin and mirtazapine. However, both medications can occasionally cause a drop in blood pressure when you stand up (postural hypotension). Taking them together might slightly increase the risk of feeling dizzy or light-headed.
