Both cod liver oil and lion's mane mushroom have properties that can thin the blood. Taking them together might slightly increase the risk of bruising or bleeding, although this is generally unlikely to be a problem for most healthy people.

Why this happens
Cod liver oil contains omega-3 fatty acids which reduce the stickiness of blood cells (platelets). Lion's mane contains compounds that may also inhibit platelet aggregation. When used together, they have an additive effect on slowing down blood clotting.
What you should do
Back to contentsThis combination is usually fine for most people. However, if you notice unusual bruising, frequent nosebleeds, or bleeding gums, you should stop taking them and speak to your doctor. If you are scheduled for surgery or are already taking prescribed blood-thinning medications (like warfarin or aspirin), consult your doctor before combining these supplements.

Can I take Abilify and Fluoxetine together?
Taking fluoxetine with Abilify (aripiprazole) can significantly increase the amount of Abilify in your bloodstream. This makes you much more likely to experience side effects such as extreme sleepiness, restlessness (feeling like you cannot sit still), uncontrollable body movements (tremors or twitching), and dizziness. There is also a small but serious risk of a heart rhythm problem called QT prolongation.

Taking paracetamol (acetaminophen) and levocetirizine together is generally considered safe. There are no known major interactions between these two medicines.
