Why this happens

Evening primrose oil contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which can slow blood clotting. Lion's mane mushroom contains compounds that may also inhibit platelet aggregation (the process where blood cells stick together to form clots). When used together, these effects could be additive.

It is generally safe to take these together, but you should monitor for any unusual bruising or bleeding (such as nosebleeds or bleeding gums). If you are scheduled for surgery, stop taking both supplements at least two weeks before the procedure. If you are already taking prescribed blood thinners (like warfarin or aspirin), consult your doctor before combining these supplements.
