Can I take Losec and Nicorandil together?

Why this happens

Nicorandil is known to occasionally cause 'nicorandil-induced ulceration' in various parts of the body. The exact reason why taking a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) like Losec might complicate this is not fully understood, but it may involve changes in the protective lining of the gut or a delay in recognising the symptoms of an ulcer.

You can take these medicines together, but you must be vigilant. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any new or worsening abdominal pain, blood in your stools (which may look black or tarry), or if you vomit blood. Your doctor will monitor you for any signs of gastrointestinal damage.
