Why this happens
Both reishi and shiitake contain compounds that have 'antiplatelet' effects. This means they make the tiny cells in your blood (platelets) less 'sticky', which slows down the formation of blood clots. Taking them together creates an additive effect, further thinning the blood.
What you should do
It is usually fine to take these together in standard food or supplement amounts if you are healthy. However, you should stop taking both at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery. If you take blood-thinning medications (like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel), speak to your doctor before combining these supplements. Watch for unusual bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums.

Treatment and medication
Can I take Collagen and Tamoxifen together?
There is no known direct interaction between collagen supplements and tamoxifen. Collagen is a protein found naturally in the body, and taking it as a supplement is generally considered safe alongside this medication.

Can I take Esomeprazole and Magnesium together?
Taking esomeprazole for a long time (usually more than three months) can lower the levels of magnesium in your blood. This can lead to symptoms like tiredness, muscle spasms, or an irregular heartbeat. Additionally, if you take magnesium as an antacid or supplement at the same time as esomeprazole, it might slightly interfere with how well the medicine is absorbed.
