Cumin-and-Paprika-Spiced Marcona Almonds

These spiced Marcona almonds are a sophisticated choice for those seeking a nutritious, savoury snack. Known for their buttery texture and rounded shape, Marcona almonds provide a perfect base for the warm, earthy notes of cumin and the vibrant colour of Spanish paprika. The addition of a light egg white glaze ensures the spices cling to every nut, resulting in a satisfyingly crisp finish that rivals any shop-bought gourmet selection.

As a diabetes-friendly recipe, this snack is naturally high in healthy fats and protein, making it an excellent alternative to processed crisps or crackers. These almonds are wonderful served alongside a glass of chilled sherry or as a flavourful topping for a Mediterranean salad. Prepare a batch in advance to keep in your pantry for a quick, homemade protein boost throughout the week.
