This wood-smoked tri-tip with Sicilian herb sauce is a sophisticated yet simple choice for outdoor dining. Using a blend of aromatic thyme, garlic, and lemon, the zesty herb dressing perfectly cuts through the rich, smoky flavour of the beef. This cut of meat is prized for its lean profile and deep savoury notes, making it an excellent centrepiece for a weekend feast or a celebratory summer lunch.
As a diabetes-friendly main course, this recipe prioritises high-quality protein and heart-healthy olive oil while remaining naturally low in carbohydrates. The gentle smoking process ensures the beef stays succulent and tender without the need for heavy marinades. Serve it sliced thinly with a crisp green salad or roasted Mediterranean vegetables for a balanced and nourishing homemade meal.
