This elegant spicy grape and ricotta crostini offers a sophisticated blend of sweet and savoury flavours, perfect for a quick lunch or an impressive dinner party starter. The red grapes are gently simmered in a light syrup with black pepper and chilli flakes, creating a glossy, spiced glaze that cuts beautifully through the richness of the creamy cheese. It is a modern take on a classic Italian antipasto that feels remarkably indulgent despite its simple preparation.
While this dish is naturally vegetarian in style, the addition of crisp, crumbled pancetta provides a delightful saltiness that elevates the seasonal fruit. Served on thick slices of crusty toasted bread and finished with fresh tarragon, these crostini are as vibrant to look at as they are to eat. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a light yet flavourful snack that makes the most of store-cupboard staples.
